A pressure switch is provided which enables an increased pressure tightness. A pressure switch comprises a diaphragm, a cap to define a storage space for pressure fluid, a plate-shaped stopper configured to limit a position of the diaphragm in the event of pressure variation to define a working position, a coupling section for coupling outer circumferences of the diaphragm, the cap and the stopper to form a diaphragm unit, a ring-shaped member formed with a substantially same diameter as the diaphragm unit, a switch element, and a body (a tubular section of a joint section and a switch holding tube) configured to accommodate the ring-shaped member and the diaphragm unit while clamping an outer circumference section of the diaphragm unit together with the ring-shaped member so that the ring-shaped member comes into pressure contact with the outer circumference section.

Pressure switch

Provided is a contact structure for a switch, in which a contact region is increased, a conduction failure can be more precluded, and the operational reliability of the switch can be improved by allowing contact points between contacts to be line contacts. The contact structure for a switch includes a pair of contacts that are opposed to each other to open or close the switch by allowing the contacts to come into contact with or to separate from each other, wherein a contact surface of a first contact is formed into a concave shape provided with a projection and a recess; a contact surface of a second contact is formed into a rounded surface; and the projection of the first contact and the rounded surface of the second contact are configured to come into contact with each other.

Contact structure for switch and pressure switch using the same

In a method of manufacturing a diaphragm with a contact, contact stocks each forming a movable contact on a stock formed out of a strip-shaped thin metal sheet material, or a rolled material are bonded at predetermined intervals to the stock by resistance welding, for example to form a diaphragm stock with a contact. Next, the stock of a diaphragm with a contact is subjected to continuous blanking with a predetermined diameter from each movable contact as center to produce a diaphragm with a contact.

Pressure switch and method of forming a diaphragm therein

A pressure switch is disclosed. The pressure switch includes a housing and a pressure-receiving chamber that communicates with a duct to which an operating pressure is supplied. The pressure switch also includes a diaphragm assembly with a diaphragm that is displaced in response to a pressure inside the pressure-receiving chamber. The pressure switch also includes a movable contact that comes into contact with a fixed contact accommodated in a center portion of an inside of the housing when the pressure inside the pressure-receiving chamber is above a certain value. One of the movable contact and the fixed contact has radially diverging contact faces that are arranged such that contact between the fixed contact and the moveable contact can be established with at least two of the radially diverging contact faces at the same time.

A swaging structure for which swaging process is easy, generation of wrinkles can be prevented, and which has high pressure-resistant performance is provided. In a swaging structure including at least a to-be-swaged member required to have airtightness to a surrounding environment and a swaging member constituted to retain the to-be-swaged member by a swaging processing, the swaging member has an annular side wall surrounding the to-be-swaged member, and a groove is formed in the annular side wall.

Swaging structure

The present invention provides a swaging structure having a high pressure resistance strength suitable for a high pressure switch that solves the conventional disadvantages that the swaging for providing an increased thickness causes a manufacturing facility having a larger size or the swaged part having winkles or that a pressure switch finds a difficulty in the adjustment of the swaging margin when the number of diaphragms is changed for example. A swaging structure comprises at least a to-be-swaged member required to have airtightness to a surrounding environment and a swaging member configured to retain the to-be-swaged member by a swaging processing, the swaging member has an annular side wall surrounding the to-be-swaged member to retain the to-be-swaged member after the swaging processing and the swaging structure further includes an annular spacer including therein a penetration hole to be sandwiched between the to-be-swaged member and the annular side wall after the swaging processing.
