A monitoring apparatus of a carrier is disclosed that includes a managing part that assigns a related carrier path ID to network configuration information and manages the related carrier path ID, the related carrier path ID uniquely defining a path span between the carrier and a related carrier; a receiving part that receives alarm information from a communications apparatus in the carrier, a selecting part that selects main cause alarm information from the alarm information; a determining part that determines whether the main cause alarm information affects the related carrier by determining whether the related carrier path ID is assigned to corresponding network configuration information in the main cause alarm information; and a transmitting part that transmits the main cause alarm information including the related carrier path ID and a generation location to the related carrier where the main cause alarm information is determined to affect the related carrier.

The present invention relates a node device cross-connected to a STM transmission system and a maintenance and operation support device connected to the node device. The object of the present invention is to releasing a desired transmission section or link efficiently. Monitoring control network system

A supervisory control system which can quickly and accurately transmit supervisory control information of a supervised apparatus is provided. This supervisory control apparatus includes a cache storage unit which caches response information to be sent as cache information to a supervisory control terminal, and a cache management unit which manages cumulated cache information. The cache management unit caches the response information of a supervised apparatus designated by a supervisory control request from the supervisory control terminal. When the response information corresponding to the supervisory control request from the supervisory control terminal exists as cache information in the cache storage unit, the cache management unit transmits the cache information to the supervisory control terminal. When the response information does not exist in the cache storage unit, the cache management unit issues a supervisory control instruction to obtain response information to the designated supervised apparatus, and transmits the newly obtained response information to the supervisory control terminal.

A network monitoring system having at least one monitoring device and a plurality of transmission devices connected to a network includes a first data storage unit, provided in the at least one monitoring device, which stores first status information of all of the transmission devices, and an information attaching unit, provided in the at least one monitoring device, which attaches abridged status information of at least one of the transmission devices to a polling command and sends the polling command to the at least one of the transmission devices, wherein the abridged status information is generated to reflect the first status information. The network monitoring system further includes a second data storage unit, provided in each of the transmission devices, which stores second status information of a corresponding one of the transmission devices, and a comparison unit, provided in each of the transmission devices, which checks if there is a mismatch between the abridged status information of a corresponding one of the transmission devices and the second status information.
