The data processing circuit of this invention enables efficient description and execution of processes that act upon the stack pointer, using short instructions. If an interrupt is received during the execution of a plurality of sum-of-products operations, execution of the sum-of-products operations resumes after the interrupt processing. First and second sum-of-products input data are read at the same time by a single memory access. A 16-bit&times;16-bit multiplication result is added by a 32-bit adder, and upper 32-bit data is either incremented or decremented when a carry or borrow is generated by a lower 32-bit add.

The improved surface is provided by treating an inorganic coating film with a material that is reached or adsorbed on the surface of the inorganic coat to increase water repellency. The inorganic coating to be treated may be a silicon dioxide film. The materials used to treat the film include: (1) halogenated silane compounds; (2) silane compounds having a structure including at least one bond selected from Si--H, Si--OH, Si--OR, Si--SH and Si--SR, wherein R is an organic group; (3) silane compounds having a structure including at least one of ##STR1## wherein R1, R2 and R3 are hydrogen or an organic group and (4) reactive organic compounds having a fluorine substituting group, hydrogen fluoride or a metal fluoride.

A Synthetic resin lens having a surface hard coating comprises a synthetic resin lens body and a surface hard coat deposited on the lens body. The synthetic resin lens body is made of a resin obtained by copolymerizing monomers consisting essentially as synthetic resinous components of 10 to 80 percent by weight of at least one diester of itaconic acid and mesaconic acid, 10 to 80 percent by weight of at least one allyl compound and 5 to 50 percent by weight of diethyleneglycol bis(allylcarbonate). The surface hard coat is formed by curing a coating composition comprising 50 to 800 parts by weight of at least one organic silicon compound, 100 parts by weight of colloidal silica, 50 to 600 parts by weight of a polyfunctional compound such as a polyfunctional epoxy compound, a polyalcohol, a polycarboxylic acid, or a polycarboxylic anhydride and 0.01 to 5.0 percent by weight of a curing catalyst based on the residual solids in the composition after curing.

The lens is formed by polymerizing at least one bis(allyloxycarbonyloxy-alkoxy) dihalide-phenyl alkane and one bifunctional allyl compound, optionally with a bis(allylcarbonate) compound. The lens is chemically treated with an aqueous solution of polyethyleneglycol and an alkali metal hydroxide and a surface hard coat is formed on the treated surface.
