A monolithic ceramic electronic component includes a ceramic body including a stack of ceramic layers. Inner electrodes are disposed within the ceramic body and include exposed portions at the end surfaces of the ceramic body. A pair of outer electrodes is arranged on the end surfaces of the ceramic body so as to extend from the end surfaces to the main surfaces and side surfaces of the ceramic body. Each of the outer electrodes includes a lower electrode layer provided on the ceramic body, an intermediate electrode layer located on the lower electrode layer and defined by a plated Ni layer, and an upper electrode layer located on the intermediate electrode layer and defined by a plated Pd layer. A thickness of the intermediate electrode layer on the main surfaces and the side surfaces of the ceramic body is larger than a thickness of the intermediate electrode layer on the end surfaces of the ceramic body.

Monolithic ceramic electronic component

A ceramic electronic component includes an electronic component body, an inner electrode, and an outer electrode. The outer electrode includes a fired electrode layer and first and second plated layers. The fired electrode layer is disposed on the electronic component body. The first plated layer is disposed on the fired electrode layer. The thickness of the first plated layer is about 3 &#x3bc;m to about 8 &#x3bc;m, for example. The first plated layer contains nickel. The second plated layer is disposed on the first plated layer. The thickness of the second plated layer is about 0.025 &#x3bc;m to about 1 &#x3bc;m, for example. The second plated layer contains lead.

Ceramic electronic component

A multilayer ceramic capacitor includes a laminated body including multiple ceramic layers. On the ceramic layers, first internal electrodes and second internal electrodes are arranged spaced away from each other, and exposed at a second principal surface of the laminated body. On the ceramic layers which are different from the ceramic layers on which the first internal electrodes are disposed, first auxiliary conductors, second auxiliary conductors, and third auxiliary conductors are disposed, and the second auxiliary conductors and the third auxiliary conductors are exposed from the first principal surface. A first external electrode connected to the first internal electrodes and the second auxiliary conductors and a second external electrode connected to the second internal electrodes and the third auxiliary conductors are disposed on the second principal surface.

Multilayer ceramic capacitor

A ceramic electronic component includes a ceramic body and first and second outer electrodes. The first and second outer electrodes are located on the ceramic body. The first outer electrode includes a first resin electrode layer, and the second outer electrode includes a second resin electrode layer. Each of the resin electrode layers includes a conductive material and a resin. The moisture content of the resin electrode layers is about 0.005 mass % or less.
