A method for obtaining image data of a subject, including; a first scanning step including a plurality of steps W, each step W being a step of determining one place existing in a one-dimensional, two-dimensional, or three-dimensional first space; and a second scanning step of scanning insides of second spaces including at least one of the places, wherein the second scanning step includes a step X of randomly determining a location of an observation point and a step Y of obtaining a piece of image data for the observation point, and, at a time point of end of scanning an inside of one of the second spaces, the second space has a first region including 50% of observation points and a second region existing outside the first region and including remaining 50% of the observation points, the second region being larger than the first region by at least 15%.

Image data obtaining method

In a Raman spectroscopic microscope, a spatial resolution that exceeds the diffraction limit of light is achieved. A diffraction grating diffracts laser light emitted from a light source and thereby generates diffracted light. A spectroscope acquires a spectrum of incident light and a spatial distribution of light intensities of the spectrum. An optical system applies interference light formed by +1st order diffracted light and &#x2212;1st order diffracted light generated in the diffraction grating to an object to be observed as linear illumination light and guides a Raman scattered light generated by the application of the linear illumination light to the object to be observed to the spectroscope, the linear illumination light having its longitudinal direction in a first direction. A control unit controls the optical system and thereby scans the object to be observed by the linear illumination light in a second direction.

Raman spectroscopic microscope and Raman scattered light observation method

An optical microscope capable of performing measurement with a high resolution and a spectrometry method are provided. A spectrometry device according to an aspect of the present invention includes a Y-scanning unit that scans a spot position of the light beam on the sample, a beam splitter that separates, among the light beam incident on the sample, outgoing light, the outgoing light being emitted with a different wavelength, a spectroscope that spatially disperses the outgoing light separated by the beam splitter according to the wavelength, a detector that detects the outgoing light dispersed by the spectroscope, and a pinhole arraydisposed on an incoming side of the spectroscope, a plurality of pinholes being arranged in the pinhole array, the plurality of pinholes being adapted to allow outgoing light to pass therethrough to the spectroscope side.

Optical microscope and spectrometry method

A light blocking member () for application, to a microscope is provided. Although it is producible at a sufficiently low cost, it can sufficiently block ambient light, and does not require a special operation when a sample () is placed on a stage () or the sample is taken out from above the stage. The light blocking member () is formed from a soft polymer, has an inner peripheral surface which is cylindrical in at least an upper part thereof, and is held on an objective lens assembly by fitting the upper part onto the outer peripheral surface of the objective lens assembly.

A variety of actions are controlled based on an operator's various finger gestures used on the touch screen disposed on the display surface of the display means, for example, making contact by a finger (tap), making two consecutive contacts by a finger (double-tap), making contact by a finger, and moving the finger without releasing it (drag), making contact by a finger and maintaining the contact for a predetermined time or longer (touch-and-hold), making simultaneous contact by two fingers, and increasing spacing between the fingers (pinch-out) or decreasing the spacing (pinch-in), and making simultaneous contact by two fingers, and moving the fingers in parallel (double-drag).

Microscope

Provided is a microscope and an observation method which can improve spatial resolution. A microscope according to an aspect of the invention includes a laser light source (), an objective lens () that focuses light from the laser light source on a sample, and a detector () that detects the laser light as signal light from a sample () when the sample () is irradiated with the laser light. The light is applied to the sample with an intensity changed to obtain a nonlinear region where intensities of the light and the signal light have a nonlinear relation due to occurrence of saturation or nonlinear increase of the signal light when the light has a maximum intensity, and the detector () detects the signal light according to the intensity of the laser light to perform observation based on a saturation component or a nonlinear increase component of the signal light.

The present invention relates to a nonlinear fluorescent molecule that generates a nonlinear fluorescence reaction by incidence of excitation light. This nonlinear fluorescence molecule includes donors and, and an acceptor that is coupled to the donors and. As the donor is excited by the incidence of the excitation light, electric charge moves from the donor to the acceptor. Then, the donor and the acceptor form a charge separated state. In a state in which the charge separated state is maintained, the donor fluoresces when transiting from an excited state to a ground state.

An ultrasonic angioscope system which uses an imaging technique of sending ultrasonic waves to a portion ahead of a stricture of a blood vessel and visualizing a portion in the forward direction of the angioscope, and which uses a laser breakdown is provided. The ultrasonic angioscope system includes: a laser generating device () installed outside the human body; a probe () that introduces laser beams () emitted from the laser generating device () into a blood vessel () via an optical fiber (), is set at the tip of the optical fiber (), and has a lens () and a water tank () as a dielectric; ultrasonic-wave generating means that uses a laser breakdown () produced in the water tank (); a plurality of hydrophones () that receive reflected waves, of ultrasonic waves emitted by the laser breakdown (), from a stricture portion () of a blood vessel (), and are disposed at the tip end of the probe (); and means of forming a stricture-shaped image of the stricture portion () based on the signals received from the hydrophones () by a synthetic aperture method.
