A refrigerant cycle apparatus includes a refrigerant circuit that circulates a refrigerant, and a leak sensor that detects a refrigerant leaking from the refrigerant circuit, in which the refrigerant cycle apparatus includes, as an operating mode, a recovery mode for recognizing occurrence of an abnormality in the leak sensor and recovering a refrigerant to a predetermined location in the refrigerant circuit.

A heat pump system includes a first bypass pipe provided with a first bypass valve and connecting a liquid refrigerant pipe and a low-pressure refrigerant pipe, a refrigerant heat exchanger configured to cause a heat-exchange between refrigerant flowing in the liquid refrigerant pipe and refrigerant flowing in first bypass pipe, a second bypass pipe provided with a second bypass valve and connecting the liquid refrigerant pipe and the low-pressure refrigerant pipe, and a controller. The controller is configured to control opening degree of the first bypass valve based on detected superheated temperature of refrigerant flowing in the first bypass pipe, and detected discharge temperature of a compressor and control opening degree of the second bypass valve based on the detected discharge temperature.

Heat pump system and method for controlling the same

Provided is a heat pump system having a liquid-side on-off valve, a gas-side on-off valve, an ambient temperature detector configured to detect temperature of fluid which passes through a heatsource-side heat exchanger, and a controller. The controller is configured to perform a refrigerant recovery operation for recovering refrigerant from a utilization-side piping section to a heatsource-side piping section by operating a compressor while the liquid-side on-off valve is closed and the gas-side on-off valve is open, and control the compressor such that, when the ambient temperature is higher than or equal to a predetermined value, increase rate of compressor rotation speed is low compared with that of when the ambient temperature is lower than the predetermined value.

Heat pump system and controller for controlling operation of the same

The present invention aims to alleviate the risk of leakage of refrigerant from a refrigerant circuit and particularly at the utilization side of the refrigerant circuit without the need to provide a dedicated bypass for refrigerant leakage prevention. A refrigerant system is configured such that, when a refrigerant leakage detection sensor detects refrigerant leakage, a controller is configured to adjust a opening degree of a bypass expansion valve independently of a pressure and/or temperature value detected by a sensor. A method of controlling a refrigerant system is also provided.

A method monitors an air-conditioner having a semi-conductor gas sensor, the method including: determining that a refrigerant leakage has occurred on condition that the detection value is equal to or greater than a first threshold when the fan is in operation; starting operation of the fan as a provisional operation if the detection value is equal to or greater than a second threshold when the fan is not in operation; stopping the provisional operation of the fan; determining that a refrigerant leakage has occurred on condition that the detection value is equal to or greater than a third threshold after stopping the provisional operation of the fan; and taking a predetermined action for outputting alarm information and/or limiting supply of refrigerant to the heat exchanger when a refrigerant leakage is determined to have occurred.

Air-conditioner, air-conditioning system, and method for monitoring air-conditioner

A refrigeration apparatus includes: a compressor; a first heat exchanger that allows a first heating medium compressed by the compressor to flow therein and to radiate heat of the first heating medium; a second heat exchanger that allows the first heating medium having passed the first heat exchanger and a second heating medium cooling a cooling target to flow therein, and causes heat exchange between the first heating medium and the second heating medium; a first temperature sensor that detects temperature of the second heating medium in the second heat exchanger; and a control device that controls an operating frequency of the compressor.

Operation switching units, each changing directions of a refrigerant flowing through its associated indoor unit in response to a switch from a cooling operation to a heating operation, or vice versa, are each connected with the associated indoor unit through indoor communication pipes; a gas-liquid separation unit is connected with an outdoor unit through outdoor communication pipes; and the operation switching units are connected with the gas-liquid separation unit through two intermediate communication pipes preinstalled and one intermediate communication pipe newly installed. This provides a simple and cost-effective means for upgrading a preinstalled air conditioner making a switch from cooling to heating, and vice versa, into an air conditioner that can perform a cooling operation and a heating operation in parallel with each other.

Air conditioner construction method

An air conditioning apparatus includes a casing, a heat exchanger and a blower. In the casing, an intake port is formed and a blow-off port is formed in a top surface section. The heat exchanger and the blower are housed in the casing. The blower is caused to rotate while a flammable refrigerant flows to the heat exchanger during an operation, an intake air is taken into the casing from the intake port, a heat exchange is carried out between the flammable refrigerant and the intake air in the heat exchanger, and the heat-exchanged air is blown out from the blow-off port to an exterior of the casing. A first refrigerant sensor that detects the flammable refrigerant is disposed on a downwind side of the heat exchanger inside the casing.

Air conditioning apparatus

An air conditioning apparatus uses R32 as a refrigerant, and includes a compressor, a condenser, an expansion mechanism, an evaporator, an intermediate injection channel, a suction injection channel, a switching mechanism, a branch flow channel, first and second injection opening adjustable valves, an injection heat exchanger, a refrigerant storage tank, a bypass channel, and a control part. The switching mechanism switches between an intermediate injection condition in which refrigerant flows in the intermediate injection channel, and a suction injection condition in which refrigerant flows in the suction injection channel. The branch flow channel branches from a main refrigerant channel which joins the condenser and the evaporator, and guides the refrigerant to the intermediate injection channel and the suction injection channel. The bypass channel guides a gas component of the refrigerant accumulated inside the refrigerant storage tank to the intermediate injection channel and the suction injection channel.

Air conditioner having simultaneous heating and cooling

A refrigeration apparatus uses R32 as refrigerant, and includes a compressor, condenser, expansion mechanism, evaporator, accumulator, branching flow path, opening degree adjustment valve disposed in the branching flow path, injection-use heat exchanger and a first injection flow path. The accumulator has an inside space to separate and accumulate refrigerant. The injection-use heat exchanger causes heat exchange between refrigerant flowing through the main refrigerant flow path and that has passed through the opening degree adjustment valve of the branching flow path. The first injection flow path guides the refrigerant that has flowed through the branching flow path and exited the injection-use heat exchanger to the inside space of the accumulator. A distal end of the first injection flow path is located in a height position separated by a dimension from a bottom of the inside space. The dimension is 0 to 0.3 times a height dimension of the inside space.

A refrigeration apparatus uses R32 as a refrigerant, and includes a compressor, a condenser, an expansion mechanism, an evaporator, an intermediate injection channel and a suction injection channel. The intermediate injection channel guides a part of the refrigerant flowing from the condenser toward the evaporator to the compressor, causing the refrigerant to merge with intermediate-pressure refrigerant of the compressor. The suction injection channel guides a part of the refrigerant flowing from the condenser toward the evaporator to the suction passage, causing the refrigerant to merge with low-pressure refrigerant sucked into the compressor.
