A projector apparatus includes a projection unit and a controller. The projection unit projects projection video of an image at a set angle of view on a projection surface in accordance with a video signal indicating the angle of view of the image including an object. The controller performs video signal processing for changing a position or size of the object in the image and controls the position or size of the projection video on the projection surface. In a case where the position or size of the object is to be changed by the video signal processing, when a resolution of the projection video of the changed object is less than a predetermined value, the controller controls the projection unit to decrease the angle of view so that the resolution of the projection video is equal to or greater than the predetermined value, and the controller sets the size of the object in the image by the video signal processing.

A user interface device for detecting an operation, by a finger of a user, on an operation member presented on a projection surface includes a distance detector for detecting a distance to the projection surface, and a distance to the finger, and a controller for detecting the operation based on the distances detected by the distance detector. When presence of the finger between the projection surface and the distance detector is determined, the controller calculates a normal vector of the projection surface based on distances from the distance detector to positions of at least three points on a surface of the projection surface and a distance from the distance detector to the finger, and detects, based on the normal vector, presence or absence of an operation on the operation member.

The gateway determines whether a frame received from a source communication device is the control frame or the data frame, forwards the control frame to the controller, and forwards the data frame to the network. A scheduler allowing high-speed scheduling scalable with the number of input and output ports of a crosspoint switch and suppressed unfairness among inputs is disclosed. The scheduler includes an M&#xd7;M matrix of scheduling modules, each of which schedules packet forwarding connections from a corresponding input group of input ports to selected ones of a corresponding output group of output ports based on reservation information. A diagonal modulo pattern is used to determine a set of M scheduling modules to avoid coming into collision with each other. Each determined scheduling module performs reservation of packet forwarding connections based on current reservation information and transfers updated reservation information in row and column directions of the M&#xd7;M matrix.

A scheduler and method for scheduling packet forwarding operations is provided. Packet forwarding request information associated with a first set of input port/output port combinations is received. Packet forwarding request information associated with a second set of input port/output port combinations different from the first set of input port/output port combinations is received, where the first set of input port/output port combinations and the second set of input port/output port combinations are selected to not conflict with each other. Packet forwarding for both the first set of input port/output port combinations at a first future time slot and the second set of input port/output port combinations at a second future time slot are simultaneously scheduling at a first scheduler and a second scheduler, respectively, based on the received packet forwarding request information. Reservation information for the first set of input port/output port combinations and the second set of input port/output port combinations is transferred to adjacent schedulers based on a module pattern, where the adjacent schedulers are responsible for scheduling additional sets of input port/output port combinations for the first and second future time slots, respectively.

A scheduler allowing high-speed scheduling scalable with the number of input and output ports of a crosspoint switch and suppressed unfairness among inputs is disclosed. A band control device, a band control method and a band control program for regulating specific application level traffic autonomously so that network resources can be fairly utilized. In the band control device, an application processor checks the contents of application level data to detect regulation subject data. When regulation subject data has been detected, processes such as shutdown, band limitation and delay addition is performed for L3 traffic, an L4 connection and an application level transaction with respect to the regulation subject data. Thus, specific application level traffic is autonomously regulated so that network resources can be fairly utilized.
