A spectacles frame image picked up by a TV camera is displayed on a TV monitor, and pattern data representing a frame and its image data are recorded in a spectacles frame data-base by setting an image region to be cut out using a cursor. At this time, a process for removing an enhancement region and a digitized process for obtaining pattern data are performed by a processor. After a spectacles frame data-base is created, in the processor an image of a human face and the frame image can be synthesized by edge processing and color mixing processing.

Method and system for spectacles frame image processing and recording

A correlogram is initially prepared which represents a relation between the gross volume of all tries and the maximum gross weight of a motor vehicle. The maximum gross weight of the vehicle is one of important factors for determining a charge for a vehicle to be run on the toll road. In the method of this invention the outer diameter and rim diameter of the respective wheels of the vehicle are found through the processing of the side profile image of the vehicle as obtained by a TV camera. According to this invention the total volume of all the tires is calculated from the outer diameter, rim diameter, width and total number of the wheels. In this way, the maximum gross weight of the vehicle is calculated based on the correlogram.

Method for measuring the maximum gross weight of a motor vehicle

With an audiovisual information presentation system, pictorial image data, drawn on paper sheets in advance and to be optically projected on a screen using an optical projector, is sequentially sensed by a TV camea. Speech corresponding to the image data is input through a microphone. A data storage unit stores the image data and corresponding audio data together with code data for identifying pairs of image and audio data. When a search mode is designated, a desired pair of image and audio data is automatically searched from the data storage unit under the control of a CPU, and is reproduced by electrical monitor display units and a loudspeaker unit independent of image display on the projection screen.

Disclosed is a picture processing apparatus comprising image pickup for taking a picture of an object and outputting picture information in the interlace system, picture information storage device for storing a first field picture information and a second field picture information outputted from the image pickup, speed detecting apparatus for detecting a moving speed of the object picked up by the image pickup, read-address correction circuitry for relatively correcting the address and for reading the first and second field picture information stored in the picture information storage device in accordance with the moving speed of the object detected by the speed detecting apparatus, and picture composition circuitry for composing the first field picture information and the second field picture information outputted from the picture information storage device after address correction. This enables obtaining an accurate frame picture without discrepancy owing to the moving speed of the moving object between field pictures.

Picture processing apparatus

An X-ray image correction apparatus has a subtraction processing circuit for subtracting image signals read out from the memories which store X-ray image signals corresponding to X-ray images taken before and after the injection of a contrast medium. An interest area is specified in the part which does not vary readily from the injection of the medium and this interest area is divided into a plurality of sections for each of which a position correction valve is calculated by a position correction valve calculator. The most common correction value of all the sections is used to correct misalignment between the before- and after-injection images.

A processing system for reproduced audio digital signals used in an audio PCM (pulse code modulation) recording/reproducing system using a recording/reproducing apparatus such as a video tape recorder having a dropout-compensation circuit is disclosed. The reproduced signal processing system is connected to receive digital information signals reproduced through the dropout compensation circuit from a recording medium on which audio information signals are recorded in the form of digital data words and includes circuit means for detecting whether a reproduced digital signal is dropout-compensated or not and circuit means for adding an error pointer to a reproduced digital signal which is detected as being dropout-compensated.

A signal transmission system embodying this invention which can control errors comprises a selective automatic repeat request (ARQ) system for controlling errors occurring in transmission of data on telephone data communication channels. With this selective ARQ system, an error-controlling signal conducted through a backward channel does not contain a check bit for detection or correction of errors, thereby preventing a time loss which might occur if a error-control signal was repeatedly issued between the transmission and receiving sides. The subject signal-transmitting apparatus is adapted to be used in a static image transmission having a large amount of data and has such a circuit arrangement as attains the efficient transmission of data and the display of an error-free image of good picture quality.

Signal transmission system with an error control technique

An error-control system for a continuous ARQ system, wherein, when a transmitter detects a dummy signal different from a negative acknowledgment signal caused by a channel noise appearing on a transmission channel, the transmitter supplies a receiver with a block signal comprising a designating number of a given block, a block data thereof and a check code formed by reversing a prescribed error detection code, thereby controlling the occurrence of an error in data transmission between the transmitting and receiving sides.

Electro-control system for data transmission

A data-transmission system using a continuous ARQ system, wherein a block (word) synchronization code is transmitted through a transmission line from a transmitter to a receiver repeatedly at a predetermined time interval, until the transmitter receives a signal (ACK) denoting the detection of the synchronization code from the receiver. Upon receipt of the synchronization code detection signal, the transmitter issues data blocks each having a fixed length to the receiver continuously from the point of time at which the succeeding synchronization code is to be transmitted. In the invention a predetermined number of test data blocks are further transmitted to the receiver in succession to the synchronization code. The receiver examines a block error rate concerning the test data blocks and supplies the transmitter with not only the synchronization code detection signal but also a data rate-specifying signal. The transmitter delivers data at a rate dependent on the data rate-specifying signal.
