An antenna device is formed in such a manner that reception antennas are arranged at regular intervals between two transmission antennas adjacent to each other among transmission antennas, and a spacing between the transmission antenna and the transmission antenna has a width obtained by adding an integral multiple of a spacing dbetween each two of the reception antennas to a width obtained by dividing the spacing dby the number Nof the transmission antennas.

An angle measuring device includes: a signal extracting unit for extracting a signal that includes a first reflection wave and does not include a second reflection wave as a first demodulated signal and a signal that includes the second reflection wave and does not include the first reflection wave as a second demodulated signal from reception signals output from one or more reception antennas among a plurality of reception antennas; an elevation calculating unit for calculating an elevation of a target by performing monopulse angle measurement using a sum signal of the first demodulated signal and the second demodulated signal and a difference signal between the first demodulated signal and the second demodulated signal; and an azimuth calculating unit for calculating an azimuth of the target using reception signals output from the plurality of reception antennas.

A radar device is configured in such a manner that each of transmission radars uses, as the amount of phase modulation, a value determined from either one of a positive integer value that is less than or equal to a result of division obtained by dividing the number of hits of a transmission RF signal by the number of the transmission radars and a value of 0; a hit number h of the transmission RF signal; and the number of hits.

Radar device

A first module generates a first reception signal from a reflection RF signal of a transmission RF signal using a first local oscillation signal, a second module generates a second reception signal from the reflection RF signal using a second local oscillation signal synchronized with the first local oscillation signal, and a first signal processor calculates the angle of a target using a signal obtained by coherent integration based on the first reception signal and second reception signal.

Radar device and signal processing method

A transmission radar () divides each of multiple frequency bands in such a manner that differences between center frequencies in respective frequency bands after the division are equal, and transmits, in time division manner, transmission signals of which transmission frequencies are the center frequencies in respective frequency bands after the division; a rearrangement processing unit () rearranges each of the reception video signals converted by the reception radar () in such a manner that sets of reception video signals corresponding to the multiple frequency bands before being divided by the transmission radar () are arranged in a row; and a band synthesis processing unit () performs a band synthesis on each of the reception video signals rearranged by the rearrangement processing unit ().

Target detection units respectively performing detection processing of targets which are different in spatial extent from each other on the basis of a detection result of amplitude or power by a detection unit are provided, and at least one determination processing unit is configured to determine presence or absence of targets from a result of the detection processing of targets by the target detection units. As a result of this configuration, it is possible to detect a target even when it has a spatial extent.

Target detection device and target detection method

Transmission radars (1-) (n=1, 2, . . . , N) generate mutually different modulation codes Code(n, h) by cyclically shifting the same code sequence by mutually different cyclic shift amounts &#x394;&#x3c4;(n), and generate mutually different transmission RF signals (4-) using the mutually different modulation codes Code(n, h). As a result, the number of transmission radars 1-can be made larger, and target detection accuracy can be made higher than in a case where orthogonal codes are used as mutually different modulation codes.

Radar apparatus

A range-direction frequency domain converting unit (-) converts reception video signals into signals in a range direction frequency. A hit-direction frequency domain converting unit (-) converts the signals in the range direction frequency into signals based on the velocity and the range direction frequency so that the target Doppler frequency belongs to the same velocity bin number independently of variations in frequencies of transmission signals. A correlation unit (-) generates signals based on the velocity separated for each of the transmission frequencies and a range after correlation. An integration unit (-) generates band-synthesized signals based on the velocity and a range after correlation. A candidate target detecting unit () detects candidate targets based on the signal intensity from the output signals of the integration unit (-). A target relative velocity/relative range/arrival angle calculating unit () calculates the relative velocity, the relative range, and the arrival angle of the candidate targets.

Transmission antennas (-#to-#M) transmit radiowaves of frequency bands uncorrelated with each other. Receivers (-#to-#L) receives target-reflected waves reflected by a target. Pulse compressors (-#to-#L) and transmission DBF units (-#to-#L) suppress false peaks generated by the Doppler frequency in the target-reflected waves and combines the target-reflected waves. A reception DBF unit () and a target detector () detect the target based on the results of the combined signals.

A frequency domain transforming unit (-) performs a transform into a frequency domain in such a way that a Doppler velocity bin is the same for each of different transmission frequencies. A correlation unit (-) generates signals based on a velocity and a range after correlation, the signals being separate for each of the transmission frequencies. An integrating unit (-) generates band-synthesized signals based on a velocity and a range after correlation. A target candidate detecting unit () performs detection of a target candidate on output signals of the integrating unit (-) on the basis of signal strength. A target's relative-velocity/relative-range/arrival-angle calculating unit () calculates a relative velocity, a relative range, and an arrival angle of the target candidate.

Radar system

A configuration is provided with: a local oscillatorwhich generates M local oscillation signals L(t) whose frequencies differ from one another by an integral multiple of an angular frequency &#x3c9;; receiver devices-m each converting the frequency of a received signal Rx(t) of one antenna element-m using one local oscillation signal L(t) generated by the local oscillator, thereby generating a received video signal V(t) having an antenna element number m; an adderwhich adds the received video signals V(t) to V(t) generated by the receiver devices-to-M, and outputs a received video signal V(t) after addition; and an A/D converterwhich A/D-converts the received video signal V(t) outputted from the adder, thereby to generate a received video signal V(n) which is a digital signal.
