In an electric rotating machine apparatus according to the present disclosure, there is adopted a structure in which an extending portion of a control circuit board on which a power module for supplying electric power to windings and a driving circuit for the power module are mounted passes through an external-connection opening portion of an electromagnetic shield and then is connected with connectors. A filter circuitis mounted on the extending portion of the control circuit board so as to secure noise-removal capability. Because a conventional dedicated wiring board for mounting the filter circuit thereon is not required, the foregoing structure can contribute to downsizing and cost reduction. In addition, the foregoing structure can contribute to downsizing and cost reduction of an electric power steering apparatus equipped with the electric rotating machine apparatus according to the present disclosure.

Electric rotating machine apparatus and electric power steering apparatus

According to this invention, provided is an electric power steering device, including: a motor having a winding; and a control unit configured to control the motor, the motor and the control unit being integrated with each other in alignment with each other in an axial direction of a rotary shaft of the motor. The winding of the motor includes a winding end portion configured to receive a current supplied thereto. The control unit includes: a current supply circuit, which includes a supply terminal, and is configured to supply the current to the winding end portion; an extension member connected to the supply terminal; and a first connection portion at which the extension member and the winding end portion are connected to each other. The first connection portion is arranged on a radially outer side of the motor with respect to the current supply circuit.

Electric power steering device

In an electric power steering, a control unit includes a first power module configured to supply current to first motor windings, a first control board configured to output a control signal to the first power module, a second power module configured to supply current to second motor windings, a second control board configured to output a control signal to the second power module, and a heat sink. The heat sink includes a column portion having a plurality of mounting portions defined by flat surfaces parallel to the axial direction of the output shaft. The first control board and the second control board are each mounted along a corresponding one of one pair of opposing mounting portions, and the first power module and the second power module are each mounted along a corresponding one of another pair of opposing mounting portions.

An electric power steering device includes a motor and a control unit that are arranged coaxially with each other in an axial direction of an output shaft and integrated with each other. The control unit includes power modules configured to supply current to the motor, a heat sink, a control board configured to output a control signal to the power modules, and a rotation sensor. The power modules, a column portion of the heat sink, and the control board are arranged in parallel to the axial direction of the output shaft. The rotation sensor is provided in a recess formed in a base portion of the heat sink at an opposite position to a sensor rotor mounted to an end portion of the output shaft on the control unit side.

Provided is a rotation detection device including: a power supply unit configured to output constant power supply; a rotation sensor unit configured to output a detection signal that depends on rotation of a vehicle; a controller configured to calculate on-time rotation information on the vehicle, which is information at a time when an ignition switch is on, to control a motor; and a calculation unit configured to calculate off-time rotation information on the vehicle by intermittently supplying a power supply voltage to the rotation sensor unit when the ignition switch is off, update a set value of an intermittent interval so that the set value becomes smaller when the off-time rotation information contains information indicating rotation of a motor for the vehicle, and otherwise update the set value of the intermittent interval so that the set value becomes larger.
