A detection device that detects unauthorized communication in an on-vehicle network mounted on a vehicle includes: a monitoring unit that monitors first information that indicates a state or control related to the vehicle and that is transmitted in the on-vehicle network; a prediction unit that predicts an occurrence of second information in the on-vehicle network that indicates the state or control related to the vehicle based on the first information monitored by the monitoring unit; and a determination unit that determines, in a case where the second information is transmitted in the on-vehicle network, whether or not the transmitted second information is unauthorized, based on a result of prediction performed by the prediction unit.

Detection device, detection method and recording medium

A communication device capable of detecting transmission of an improper message to a network. A CAN controller in the gateway transmits and receives a message attached with a priority level (ID) to/from an ECU through a communication line, and counts, by the consecutive block number counter, the number of transmitted messages that are consecutively blocked as a result of arbitration processing as the number of consecutive blocks and stores the number as the number of allowed blocks into an allowed block number table in the storage unit in association with a priority level attached to the message received at the communication line. Every time a message is received, the controller compares the number of consecutive blocks with the number of allowed blocks for this message, and detects abnormality if the number of consecutive blocks is larger than the number of allowed blocks.

Communication device for detecting transmission of an improper message to a network

A rewrite detection system, a rewrite detection device and an information processing device can detect unauthorized rewrite to a program or data stored in a storage unit of the information processing device. A rewrite detection device generates a random seed and transmits it to an ECU and a server device. The ECU calculates a hash value using a predetermined hash function on the basis of the received random seed and the storage content of the storage unit, and transmits the hash value to the rewrite detection device. The server device transmits an expectation in response to an inquiry from the rewrite detection device. The rewrite detection device determines whether unauthorized rewrite to a program or data in the ECU has been performed or not in accordance with whether the expectation received from the server device and the hash value received from the ECU coincide with each other or not.

An access restriction device as well as an on-board communication system and a method for communication restriction, which prevent outside leakage of information caused by unauthorized access of malicious programs to an in-car network. The communication between the in-car network of the vehicle and an external device is performed by a security controller. The security controller can perform addition or update of a program involving processing for transmission and reception of the information. The security controller performs processing for restricting access to information of the in-car network performed by program execution according to an access authorization level of each program and an access permission level of each type of information. The security controller restricts the transmission depending on the access authorization level of each program and the access permission level of each type of information in case of transmitting the information to the in-car network by the program execution.

Access restriction device, on-board communication system and method for communication restriction

The present invention provides a communication system including a relay device that is capable of simplifying the configuration of a control device for controlling a device based on relay information and reducing cost of the whole system, the relay device and a method for controlling power supply. A GW device includes first to fourth communication parts respectively connected to communication buses, which are connected to ECUs respectively. The GW device receives a message transmitted from each of ECUs, extracts signal information Sto Srelated to equipment in the vehicle included in the message from the received message, collects the extracted signal information Sto Sto create a message (ID4), and transmits the created message to a power supply control device. The power supply control device controls on/off of the ECUs and each of loads based on signal information included in the message received from the GW device.

Communication system, relay device, and method for controlling power supply

Each ECU transmits a frame to a frame generator. Then, the frame generator decomposes data contained in the received frame and then stores the data into a buffer memory, for each message type. The frame generator generates a message containing data to be transmitted to each ECU, and then transmits the message. Based on the state of a signal indicating the electric power supply status, the frame generator controls the permission or non-permission of transmission processing such that frame transmission is not performed to the ECU to which electric power supply from an electric power supply control device. When any communication part has received an abnormal frame, the frame generator does not include data contained in frames received afterward by the communication part, into a frame generated for other communication parts.

Transmission message generating device and vehicle-mounted communication system

An in-vehicle communication system capable of performing power supply control of the system according to the user's preference while simplifying the configuration of a control device for controlling a device based on information to be relayed. A control part of a GW device extracts information required for power supply control of loads from CAN messages received by first to third communication parts, specifies vehicle state based on the extracted information, determines power supply states in which the loads preliminarily stored into a power supply state table are to be, by associating the states with the specified vehicle state, and then transmits control information for providing an instruction of the determined power supply state to the power supply control device. The power supply state table in the storage part is rewritable, and a part of the power supply state table may be updated according to the preference of a vehicle's user.

In-vehicle communication system

In a network in which a plurality of ECUs are connected to one another with a common bus, one or more slots are allocated to each ECU in advance, and the plurality of ECUs cyclically transmit messages in an order prescribed in relation to the slots. When each ECU transmits the message related to one slot, each ECU creates and transmits a message including data to be transmitted to other ECUs, and information representing respectively a success/failure of the message reception related to other slots. Each ECU checks information of ACK field included in a message received during one cycle from message transmission related to one slot to a next message transmission related to said one slot. When the message related to one slot is not accurately received by the other ECUs, retransmits the message in the next transmission related to said one slot.

Communication system and communication apparatus

A power line communication system is provided in which the influence of the impulsive noise unexpectedly generated on a power line which is a communication medium can be reduced according to the characteristics of the impulsive noise by an existing method and power line communication can be realized without a hindrance. A transmitter is constituted by: a modulator for conveying a LIN data signal by a power line; a filter that allows a signal of a predetermined band to pass therethrough; and a sinusoidal wave outputter (sinusoidal wave in the figure). In contrast, the receiver is constituted by the sinusoidal wave outputter, the filter and a demodulator that performs demodulation. To the power line, a limiter that limits the amplitude of the propagating signal to a predetermined amplitude (reception signal amplitude) is connected.

Power line communication system

It is expected to provide a communication apparatus, relay apparatus, communication system and communication method for effectively performing a communication timing adjustment when a collision has occurred on a communication line, efficiently reducing the communication collision with reducing processing loads on each apparatus, for making each apparatus effectively perform the transmission timing adjustment, and for improving the communication efficiency. ECUs are connected to communication lines with a bus topology. A relay apparatus is connected to the communication lines, obtains a time distribution based on a number of messages transmitted to the communication lines. When the bias occurs in the transmission timings, the relay apparatus transmits an instruction message that instructs to perform the timing adjustment for messages transmitted between the ECUs. In addition, it is determined whether a message to be relayed is held. When it is determined that such a message is held, the instruction message is transmitted.

A vehicle communication system comprising a relay connection unit for relaying one or more buses connected to a message transmitter and a bus connected to a message receiver, wherein the relay connection unit generates new messages on the basis of a plurality of messages received from the message transmitter and transmits the generated messages to the message receiver via the bus, and wherein the number of new messages to be generated is not less than 1, a plurality of the new messages allow the messages for generating each of the messages to be divided into groups, and the plurality of messages which the relay connection unit receives from the message transmitter to generate one new message gradually advance the transmission timing.
