A motor-driven vehicle capable of increasing the degree of freedom of wiring for a motor. A drive wheel having a motor with a stator and a rotor serving as a drive source disposed in a wheel hub is rotatably supported on a wheel shaft between right and left forks. The stator is provided in a body-side retainer member fixed to a vehicle body, the rotor is rotatably supported on the wheel shaft, and wiring for the motor is passed through the body-side retainer member. The brake mechanism is provided on the drive wheel. As seen from a front of a vehicle body, the wheel hub is rotatably supported on the wheel shaft on one lateral side alone from a body center and the brake mechanism is disposed on one lateral side from a body center and the motor is disposed on the other lateral side from the body center.

Motor-driven vehicle

A saddle seat type fuel-cell electric vehicle includes a motor for driving rear wheels, a secondary battery for supplying electric power to the motor, a carrier for carrying luggage and a seat for supporting an operator, the carrier is located behind the seat and above the rear wheels. The secondary battery includes a plurality of cells each having an elongated boxlike shape, and it is stored in the internal space of the carrier, thereby increasing the flexibility of the layout of the vehicle body. Spacings functioning as air passages are defined between the inner wall of the carrier and the secondary battery. The carrier is formed with air inlet openings for introducing an air flow into the internal space and an air outlet opening for discharging the air flow out of the internal space. The plural cells are arranged adjacent to each other with given intervals on the same plane.

Saddle seat type electric vehicle

A dynamo-electric motor applies motive power to a drive wheel. A battery supplies electric power to the dynamo-electric motor with a driver for controlling the driving of the dynamo-electric motor. A battery control unit performs a control of charging and discharging of the battery. A speed meter displays predetermined information relating to a vehicle. In the electric vehicle including the elements described above, the battery control unit obtains the vehicle speed, the total travel distance, and the trip travel distance based on a vehicle speed pulse of the dynamo-electric motor detected by the driver, and displays information relating to the vehicle speed, the total travel distance, the trip travel distance and information relating to charging and discharging of the battery on a display unit using communication means.

Electric vehicle

To provide an electrically-driven vehicle which does not impede the usual traveling even when a push-walk function is used. A motor is provided for driving a drive wheel with a battery supplying electric power to the motor. A throttle is provided for adjusting a vehicle speed and a battery control unit controls the motor based on an output of the throttle. The electrically-driven vehicle further includes a push-walk switch operated by a rider for selecting the push-walk traveling and, at the same time, the battery control unit also performs the detection of a vehicle state. The battery control unit performs the control of the push-walk traveling when the battery control unit receives the instruction of the push-walk switch via a rider and a vehicle state satisfies a preset condition.

Electrically-driven vehicle

An electric vehicle is provided with a drum brake unit on a rear wheel rotated by drive force of an electric motor. A first set of fins, for cooling the electric motor and the drum brake unit, are provided between the electric motor and the drum brake unit. Specifically, the first set of fins are provided on an inner side surface of a case body. It is possible to cool the electric motor using the first set of fins, and it is also possible to remove heat of the drum brake unit using the first set of fins. The fins act as a heat sink to dissipate heat generated by the drum brake unit, and to resist heat transfer from the drum brake unit to the electric motor, helping to more efficiently cool the electric motor.

To provide a power supply apparatus for an electric vehicle wherein the insulation of a power supply line for supplying a drive voltage to an electric motor can be simplified and the cost for the insulation can be reduced. A power supply apparatus for an electric vehicle includes batteries for driving a motor and general electric parts. An node A of an intermediate voltage of 24 V between a drive voltage of 48 V of the batteries and the ground voltage is connected to a ground line for the general electric parts. An inverter produces a voltage to be applied to the general electric parts based on the drive voltage of 48 V of the batteries and the intermediate voltage of 24 V. By adjusting the duty ratio of the inverter, a voltage of AC 24 V or AC 12 V can be applied to the general electric parts.

Power supply apparatus for electric vehicle

A power supply apparatus for stabilizing a voltage generated on a power supply line by an electric motor, for preventing a battery from being overcharged, preventing an overvoltage from being generated, and protecting system components from an overvoltage, even when a battery is removed or no electric power is supplied from the battery to a control means. The apparatus includes a drive circuit for energizing a permanent-magnet brushless motor and a control circuit for controlling the drive circuit. A power supply state detecting circuit (activating unit) activates the control circuit depending on a voltage value on a power supply line of the motor. A voltage stabilizing means including a relay and a regenerative resistor stabilizes the voltage on the power supply line when the relay is opened and closed under the control of the control circuit. The voltage stabilizing means may include the drive circuit.

Power supply apparatus in electric vehicle

A controller for controlling the rotation of a motor is disposed inside a casing of a power unit for transmitting the rotation of the motor to a driving wheel. An induction-type switch for operating the controller is provided inside the casing of the power unit. A power source converter is provided for driving electrical equipment on the vehicle, and is disposed inside the casing of the power unit. Further, an accelerator opening sensor for detecting the magnitude of an output demand for the motor is provided, and is disposed inside the casing of the power unit. This arrangement concentrates the mass into the power unit, and encloses the high voltage system within the power unit.

Electric motor-driven vehicle

An engine stopping/starting control unit having improved accelerating performance. A charging limiting device is provided which limits the charge provided to a generator when the vehicle is stopped. The decreased charging allows for better performance when the vehicle accelerates from a stopped states. Also, the vehicle headlight can be dimmed while the vehicle is stopped, which reduces the load on the generator. An acceleration detector detects when the vehicle accelerates during running, and can decrease the generator load in response to the acceleration.

Vehicle including engine stopping/starting control unit

The battery rental system includes unmanned automatic battery rental stations, a communication system, a central processing station, electrically assisted bicycle batteries, and ID cards. A user merely inserts the ID card into the battery rental system and the central processing station automatically charges the user for removing a battery from the battery rental system.
