There is provided a surveying instrument including a monopod which is installed on a reference point, a surveying instrument main body which is provided at a known distance from a lower end of the monopod and a known angle with respect to an axis of the monopod, two auxiliary legs which extend downward from a middle portion of the monopod at a predetermined angle, and a lower image pickup module which is provided at a known position with respect to the surveying instrument main body, wherein the surveying instrument main body comprises a measuring unit, a measuring direction image pickup module, and an arithmetic control module, wherein the surveying instrument main body is supported by three points by the monopod and the auxiliary legs, and a positional change or a rotational change of the surveying instrument main body is calculated based on a change of the lower image.

The guide laser beam (P) can be radiated in vertical and lateral directions from the horizontal direction as a reference by a guide laser beam radiator ( ). Based on the angle &phgr;, the direction Z in which the guide laser beam (P) is actually radiated is changed to the direction Z in which the guide laser beam (P) is to be radiated.

A laser survey instrument, which comprises at least a main unit for emitting a laser beam and an object reflector for reflecting the laser beam from the main unit toward the main unit, whereby said main unit comprises an emitter for emitting the laser beam, a rotating unit for rotating and scanning the laser beam, a tilting mechanism for tilting the laser beam at an arbitrary angle at least in one direction with respect to a horizontal plane, a rotating angle detector interlocked with the rotating unit and for detecting irradiating direction of the laser beam, a reflection light detector for detecting reflection light from the object reflector, and an alignment display unit for detecting a deviation of direction with respect to the object reflector and a deviation of tilt angle based on a signal from the reflection light detector and for obtaining information on the deviation of direction or the tilt angle, the laser beam emitted from the main unit is irradiated to scan, the center of the object reflector is determined based on the laser beam reflected from the object reflector during scanning process, information on a deviation of direction of the main unit and a deviation of tilt angle is displayed, or direction and tilt angle of the main unit are corrected automatically based on the deviation of direction thus obtained or on the deviation of tilt angle thus obtained.

A laser irradiation unit for projecting a laser beam onto a target for reference comprises a remote receiving unit for receiving an operation light signal from a remote controller, a buzzer or a lamp for confirming operation, and a control unit for operating the buzzer for confirming operation or lighting up the lamp for confirming operation in case the operation light signal is received by the remote receiving unit, and the condition of the remote control operation is conveyed to an operator or the remote controller by sound of the buzzer for confirming operation or by lighting of the lamp for confirming operation.

Laser reference level setting device

An automatic control system for a construction machine includes the construction machine provided with a ground leveling implement, a target, and a laser sensor; a survey unit that has a coordinate position measuring element and projects a beam of tracking light indicating a finished-plane height toward the target; a storage unit for storing finished-plane height data in correspondence with a horizontal coordinate position in the coordinate position; and a computation unit for computing the finished-plane height data. The survey unit is equipped with a rotation unit for rotating the laser beam in a vertical direction so that a height of the laser beam at the horizontal coordinate position becomes a height from a determined finished plane. The construction machine is provided with a control unit for controlling the ground leveling implement so that it reaches the finished-plane height, based on a position at which the laser beam is received on the laser sensor. The computation unit computes a vertical deviation between a predetermined vertical position of the target and an actually measured value thereof.

Automatic control system for construction machinery

The present invention provides a construction equipment control system, comprising a rotary laser irradiating system for forming a laser beam reference plane by the laser beam and capable to tilt the laser beam reference plane, a level sensor installed on a ground leveling tool of construction equipment and for performing photodetection of the laser beam to give instruction on a height of the ground leveling tool, a GPS receiving system for detecting a position of the construction equipment, and a control device for controlling a gradient of the laser beam reference plane formed by the rotary laser irradiating system based on the detection result of the position of the construction equipment by the GPS receiving system, whereby ground leveling operation for a horizontal surface, an inclined surface and a curved surface can be performed by measuring the position of the construction equipment at real time and by controlling the height of the ground leveling tool based on working data.

An automatic control system for a construction machine includes the construction machine provided with a ground leveling implement, a target, and a laser sensor; a survey unit that has a coordinate position measuring element and projects a beam of tracking light indicating a finished-plane height toward the target; a storage unit for storing finished-plane height data in correspondence with a horizontal coordinate position in the coordinate position; a computation unit for computing the finished-plane height data; a modulation unit for modulating the laser beam, based on construction information at the horizontal coordinate position, and for transmitting the construction information to the laser sensor; and a demodulation unit fox demodulating the construction information, based on the laser beam received by the laser sensor. The survey unit is equipped with a finished-height data drive mode in which the laser beam is rotated in a vertical direction by a rotation unit so that the height of the laser beam at the horizontal coordinate position becomes a height from the determined finished plane. The construction machine is provided with a control unit for controlling the ground leveling implement so that it reaches the finished-plane height, based on a position at which the laser beam is received on the laser sensor, and also controlling the ground leveling implement, based on the demodulated construction information.

An apparatus for displaying a direction for adjusting its height to its appropriate height includes a plurality of light sources, a light receiving portion, and a control unit. The light sources are arranged in the form of a matrix in a display portion of the apparatus and displays the direction as a moving shape by emitting light in turn. The light receiving portion receives an incident beam and outputs a signal corresponding to a height of the incident beam. The control unit controls the light emission of the light sources in accordance with the signal so as to move the shape downward or upward to indicate the appropriate height. The control unit controls the light emission of the light sources so that at least one light source of a group of the light sources is lighted after a predetermined time, shorter than a time during which a human eye can keep an afterimage, after other members of the group were lighted.

The laser leveling system comprises a laser light emitting means for emitting a laser beam, a projection optical system for projecting the laser beam irradiated from the light emitting means, a rotating unit for rotating the light beam projected by the projection optical system, and a leveling means for tilting the rotating unit, whereby a horizontal reference plane and a vertical reference plane are formed by the light beam, and a reference irradiation spot is formed on the horizontal reference plane or on the vertical reference plane.
