A lens barrel includes a lens unit including at least one lens, a first magnet for performing image stabilization in at least one of a first direction or a second direction, a second magnet for performing image stabilization in a rolling direction, a first coil that forms a magnetic circuit together with the first magnet, and moves the lens unit in at least one of the first direction or the second direction, a second coil that forms a magnetic circuit together with the second magnet, and rotates the lens unit in the rolling direction, and a mounting body having the first magnet and the second magnet mounted thereon. When the lens unit is moved in at least one of the first direction or the second direction, the first magnet, the second magnet, and the mounting body are integrally operated.

Thus, an implant is provided which can be attached to a bone within a relatively short period of time even without resorting to bone cement.

The north and south poles of the tracking magnet are adjacent in the tracking direction. The boundary between the poles is formed by a line segment not being one straight line.

Embodiments of the present invention restrain the head position accuracy from degrading due to torsional vibration of a head supporting unit. According to an embodiment of the invention, an actuator has a twisted carriage arm. A suspension is tilted in accordance with the twist of the carriage arm. When the carriage arm and the suspension torsionally vibrate, the vibration direction tilts against the normal direction of a recording surface in accordance with the twist. This technique decreases a peak value of off-track displacement that is caused by a head slider and is dependent on relationship between a skew angle and a torsional vibration direction.

Embodiments of the invention provide a hard disk drive base adapted to prevent release of a strain due to the difference in thermal expansion between the vice coil motor and the base and thereby prevent a degradation in the positioning accuracy of the magnetic head. Embodiments suppress a fluttering phenomenon of a wiring structure portion for signal transmission between a head and an FPC. In one embodiment, an actuator has a support portion which accommodates a wiring structure portion. The wiring structure portion is provided at a rear end portion thereof with a wide tab, the tab having pads for connection with the FPC. The support portion has a convex wall portion formed so as to overlap a front end portion of the tab. An air current occurs at an end portion of a magnetic disk in the vertical direction. When the head accesses a track present on the inner periphery side of the magnetic disk, the tab approaches the disk end portion. Since the convex wall portion protects the tab against the air current, it is possible to suppress fluttering of the wiring structure portion and improve the head positioning accuracy.

Embodiments in accordance with the present invention improve the head characteristic and avoid collisions between a head element section and a recording disk. A hard disk drive according to an embodiment of the present invention performs TFC (Thermal Fly height Control) to adjust the clearance between the head element section and recording disk by means of thermal expansion. A head slider includes a TFC heater. The hard disk drive detects its acceleration and controls the TFC heater in accordance with the detected acceleration, thereby reducing the probability of collision between the head element section and recording disk. Further, the hard disk drive detects residual vibration prevailing after impact application. The heater turns back ON when the residual vibration becomes lower than a reference level.

Embodiments of the invention provide a disk drive capable of reducing vibrations of a disk generated by an airflow produced as the disk rotates. In one embodiment, a disk drive comprises: a rotary magnetic disk, a base for housing the magnetic disk, a top cover for closing the disk in the base to form an enclosure, a circulating filter arranged externally of the magnetic disk to trap dust within the enclosure, and an airflow guide for guiding an airflow which flows out of the circulating filter more to the center side than to the outer edge portion of the magnetic disk. Further, a shut out portion is provided in the vicinity of the outer edge portion of the magnetic disk to shut out an airflow which flows out in the vicinity of the outer edge portion.

An actuator arm with suppressed arm fluttering is provided. On a main surface of each actuator arm in an actuator arm unit there are formed a rigid area which extends centrally in the longitudinal direction and flow uniformizing areas which are each formed in a substantially flat shape extending longitudinally in adjacency to the rigid area and which are thinner than the rigid area. A balance aperture is not formed in the portion where the flow uniformizing areas and the rigid area are formed, to diminish arm fluttering. Instead of a balance aperture, the flow uniformizing areas also exhibit the effect of reducing the weight of the actuator arm.

A mechanism is provided for restraining and releasing an actuator suspension assembly in a magnetic disk device which is in a retracted position. In a magnetic disk device, according to one embodiment, a magnetic diskis formed of an electrically conductive material and there is disposed a latch memberwhich holds an eddy-current magnet at one end thereof and is provided with a latching portion at an opposite end thereof. An actuator suspension assemblylies in a retracted position and is restrained at a frame engaging portionthereof by means of the latch member. The eddy current magnet is disposed in such a manner that a magnetic pole thereof is opposed to a surface of the magnetic disk at a position close to the disk surface. When the magnetic disk is rotated, an eddy-current is generated and a force is exerted on the eddy-current magnet, so that the latch member turns and releases the actuator suspension assembly.

One feature of the invention is to support a wiring structure on a side surface of an actuator arm used in a magnetic disk device so as not to allow fluttering to occur. In one embodiment, a wire support memberused in a magnetic disk device includes a protruding wallprovided with an opposing surface facing a wiring structureand protruding in a width direction, and a protruding wallprovided with an opposing surface facing the wiring structureand protruding in a width direction. In a tip portion structure basically having a substrate, a plate spring, and a ground block, the substrate is attached to a signal line on a back surface of the substrate and is contacted on the tip with the signal electrode of the DUT placed on a device stage. The plate spring is made of a resilient material, placed on the front side of the substrate, and positioned to apply a pressure to the substrate. The ground block is positioned between the signal line and the device stage functioned as a ground electrode of the DUT. Alternatively, the tip portion structure further may have a ground plate or a ground surface formed of a conductive thin plate covering entirely the front surface of the substrate, and shaped to surround the signal line in cooperation with the ground block. A plurality of the signal lines may be arranged in parallel on the same plane of the substrate. Another tip portion structure is based on a coaxial cable to be cut from the center at a plane perpendicular to the axial direction thereof along one or more oblique plane. A metal ring fitted over a periphery of the coaxial outer conductor may be used.

A high-frequency probe according to the present invention comprises a probe chip that has an end part that is pressed to an electrode and is covered by a electrically conductive outer enclosure, and slides in a vertical direction by an inner surface of this electrically conductive outer enclosure inside this electrically conductive outer enclosure. A signal conductive pattern is fixed inside this probe chip and is connected with a inner conductor having elasticity. The inner conductor can be bent in the vertical direction at a central part of a hole having an opening, which is sufficiently long in the vertical direction, in the center space of a ground conductor, which is fixed to an end part of the main block, when the inner conductor is pressed due to contact of the end part. In addition, the high-frequency probe has a thin shape of a maximum thickness in a transverse direction which is perpendicular to the vertical direction that is a direction of the probe being pressed to a device electrode. The maximum thickness is substantially equal to a pitch between device electrodes, and can be formed in the construction of unifying a plurality of high-frequency probes.
