An oil strainer includes a body having first and a second tubular member. One end of an outlet side tubular member has an inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of one end of an inlet side tubular member. The inner periphery of the one end of the outlet side tubular member includes a fusion bonding part, a shoulder closer to the one end of the outlet side tubular member than the fusion bonding part and another shoulder closer to the other end of the outlet side tubular member than the fusion bonding part. The outer periphery of the one end of the inlet side tubular member includes a fusion bonding part, a shoulder closer to the one end of the inlet side tubular member than the fusion bonding part and another shoulder closer to the other end of the inlet side tubular member than the fusion bonding part.

An oil pan made of resin includes an oil reservoir. The oil reservoir includes a bottom wall and a peripheral wall rising from a periphery of the bottom wall and having an opening at a top of the oil reservoir. A rib is provided in the oil reservoir.

A reliable and superior joining strength in entire joining parts of resin molded bodies including tilting portions is obtained by devising a shape and a size of each protrusion for welding provided in the joining parts of the resin molded bodies. The joining parts of upper and lower half bodiesandhave vertical portionsandand vertical portionsandrespectively vertical to a pressurizing direction and tilting portionsandtilting relative to the pressurizing direction, and protrusions for weldingE toE orE toE are provided in at least the joining part of one of the half bodies. Further, referring to a butting area of the protrusions in a butted state, the butting area in the vertical portions is set to be less than the butting area in the tilting portions.

Structure of joining resin molded bodies

Upper and lower split components include upper and lower concave parts, respectively, forming the inner periphery of an intake pipe. An internal pipe is placed between the upper and lower concave parts. The upper concave part is formed a distance away from the outer periphery of the internal pipe. The outer periphery of the internal pipe is provided with a fitting part fitted into the lower concave part and a sealing part accommodated in an accommodation recess formed in the upper concave part. The inner face of the accommodation recess and the sealing part are formed along the direction of vibration of vibration welding and are in contact with each other.

Resin intake manifold

An intake manifold is assembled from a near manifold component which is positioned near an engine, a far manifold component which is positioned far from the engine and a middle manifold component which is positioned between the near and far manifold components. The near manifold component includes first path-forming parts forming the lower parts of the intake paths. The middle manifold component includes second path-forming parts which are joined on and vibration-welded to the first path-forming parts. The middle manifold component further includes third path-forming parts which extend in the vertical direction in a curve. Further, the far manifold component includes fourth path-forming parts which are vibration-welded to the third path-forming parts.
