Information indicating a base station apparatus with which each of a terminal apparatus T-k and other terminal apparatuses that are to perform location registration in a service area of a base station apparatus B(k) with which the terminal apparatus T-k is to perform location registration is shared among all the terminal apparatuses that are to perform location registration in the service area. A maximum wait time is set longer, the greater the number of other terminal apparatuses that are scheduled to perform location registration with the base station apparatus B(k) with respect to which the terminal apparatus T-k is to perform location registration is, the maximum wait time being a maximum wait time for the terminal apparatus T-K to access the base station apparatus B(k).

Random access wait time setting method

A signal extraction method is provided. In the method, signals are extracted by using K beam forming parts, wherein K is a natural number equal to or more than 2, and received signals from a plurality of antennas are applied to each beam forming part. The method includes the steps of: the received signals being processed by each beam forming part successively; a first beam forming part extracting a first signal from the received signals; and a kth beam forming part canceling, from the received signals, signal components which are extracted by beam forming parts from the first beam forming part to a (k&#x2212;1)th beam forming part so as to extract a kth signal, wherein 2&#x2266;k&#x2266;K.

Signal extraction method and apparatus in wireless communication system

A receiver is provided, in which the receiver includes K signal extraction parts, a signal estimation part, K joint probability calculation parts and a multiplying part, wherein: an ith (1&#x2266;i&#x2266;K) signal extraction part extracts ith to Kth user signals; an ith joint probability calculation part calculates a joint probability density function that any signal set in the ith to Kth user signals will be obtained if ith to Kth user signals estimated by the signal estimation part are assumed to be received; the multiplying part multiplies probability density functions calculated by the joint probability calculation parts; and the signal estimation part estimates first to Kth user signals which maximize the multiplied value, and outputs the first to Kth user signals.

The method includes the steps of: generating a quadrature signal from the receive signal; compensating orthogonality error and gain imbalance for the receive signal and the quadrature signal; and converting the receive signal and the quadrature signal into first complex frequency band signal by first analytic sine wave.
