The first optical system and the second optical system are configured so that a change of a magnification of the first subject image according to the distance to the subject is different from a change of a magnification of the second subject image according to the distance to the subject.

The lens driving device is provided with: an image-capturing unit which captures a subject image formed by a lens unit; a driving unit for translational deviation correction which performs translational deviation correction by shaking the lens unit within a plane perpendicular to an optical axis, on the basis of a detection signal from a translational deviation detecting unit that detects a translational deviation; and a driving unit for angular deviation correction which performs angular deviation correction by integrally tilting the image-capturing unit and the driving unit for translational deviation correction, on the basis of a detection signal from an angular deviation detecting unit that detects an angular deviation.

A lens holder driving device includes an auto-focusing lens holder driving portion moving a lens holder holding a lens barrel along an optical axis, and an image stabilizer portion stabilizing image blurred by moving the auto-focusing lens holder driving portion in first and second directions which are orthogonal to the optical axis and which are perpendicular to each other. The image stabilizer portion includes: a fixed portion disposed apart from the auto-focusing lens holder driving portion in the direction of the optical axis; a plurality of suspension wires having first end portions fixed to the fixed portion at outer regions thereof, extending along the optical axis, having second end portions fixed to the auto-focusing lens holder driving portion, and swingably supporting the auto-focusing lens holder driving portion in the first direction and the second direction; and a fracture preventing member preventing the suspension wires from fracturing.

A compact camera module is disclosed that is capable of preventing adhesion of dust to an image pickup device in the compact camera module. The compact camera module includes a lens unit including a lens and a lens holder holding the lens therein and an image pickup unit attached to the lens unit. The image pickup unit includes a circuit board, an image pickup device on the circuit board, a cover member arranged on the circuit board to cover the image pickup device, and an optical filter arranged with respect to the cover member to face the image pickup device. The image pickup device is disposed in a substantially closed space formed by the circuit board, the cover member, and the optical filter. After the image pickup device is mounted on the circuit board, the image pickup device is disposed in the substantially closed space, and therefore, the compact camera module can be assembled with no occurrence of dust adhesion to the image pickup device.

A plurality of magnetoresistive heads are arranged on a wafer substrate. A plurality of electrode pads are arranged on the wafer substrate in a first direction. Each electrode pad is connected to an associated magnetoresistive head. Respective adjacent electrode pads are shifted from each other in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The shifted amount of the adjacent pads in the second direction is larger than a dimension of the electrode pad in the second direction.

A magnetoresistive element includes a magnetoresistive film and an electrode portion both formed on the first non-magnetic layer. A non-magnetic metal layer electrically connects the first and the second shield layers. A first earth member is electrically connected to the electrode portion of the magnetoresistive element. A second earth member is electrically connected to the first and the second shield layers. A third earth member is electrically connected to the first earth member and the second earth member.
