A disk brake () including a connector portion () provided at a housing (). The connector portion () includes supply terminals () for supplying power to a motor (). The supply terminals () of the connector portion () and motor terminals (C) of the motor () are connected to each other via bus bars () made of metallic plate. Further, the bus bars () are held in a loosely fitted state on another-side surface (B) of a plate-like portion () of a support member () attached to the housing ().

Disk brake

A disk brake including a mount member having a pin insertion portion integrally connected to a connection portion so as to outwardly protrude from an outer surface of the connection portion in a radial direction of a disk rotor. A tip of a pin insertion hole of the pin insertion portion is positioned at an inner side of a vehicle relative to an outer portion. Thus, it is possible to prevent a braking torque from affecting the pin insertion portion of the mount member. As a result, it is possible to prevent a slide pin from interfering with an inner wall surface of the pin insertion hole, thereby preventing a brake judder phenomenon from occurring during a braking operation.

A shim plate relatively movably attached with a friction pad in a rotational direction of a disc is disposed between the friction pad and a reaction section of a caliper, a plurality of claw sections formed to extend in a radial direction of the disc at a position deviated in the rotational direction of the disc with respect to a center of pistons are formed at the reaction section, and movement restriction portions that can abut the intermediate claw section disposed at the middle of the claw sections of the reaction section are formed at a surface of the shim plate opposite to the reaction section in the radial direction of the disc.

Disc brake

A shim plate is provided at the rear side of a friction pad to abut annular contact parts of pistons. The shim plate is provided with first and second one-side cut portions and at a position corresponding to the annular contact part of a disk rotational entrance-side piston, for example, so that the area of contact between the shim plate and the annular contact part is larger at the disk rotational exit side than at the disk rotational entrance side. The first and second one-side cut portions and have four contact ends at which the peripheries of the cut portions and the annular contact part intersect each other. At least two of the four contact ends are provided on the disk rotational entrance side with respect to the diametrical center of the piston.

The strength and rigidity of pad springs are increased with a simple structure to prevent deformation and so forth of the pad springs caused by external force. A mounting member is provided with pad springs for resiliently supporting friction pads. Each pad spring has guide plates, a connecting plate, an engagement plate, radially urging portions, circumferentially urging portions, reinforcement, etc. The reinforcement includes a rectilinear reinforcement formed on a flat plate portion of the connecting plate by embossing, for example, and oblique reinforcements formed on joint portions of the connecting plate. Thus, the joint portions and so forth of the pad springs can be prevented from being deformed by external force when the brake is activated or during assembling operation, for example, and hence it is possible to prevent positional displacement of the guide plates, etc. that would otherwise be caused by the deformation of the joint portions.
