Provided is a liquid container attachable to a printing apparatus and configured to contain a liquid to be supplied to the printing apparatus, including: a container chamber configured to contain the liquid; a supply unit provided on a tip end side in a direction of attachment to be attached to the printing apparatus and configured to connect the container chamber to the printing apparatus; and a liquid holding unit provided to an inner peripheral surface of the supply unit and capable of holding the liquid by using a capillary force, the liquid leaking out in a case of attaching and detaching the liquid container to and from the printing apparatus, in which a length of the liquid holding unit in the direction of attachment of the liquid container is larger than a length of the liquid holding unit in a direction intersecting with the direction of attachment.

Provided is a technique which can inspect liquid ejection energy without changing electric wiring on an ejection element substrate of a liquid ejection head or ejecting liquid from the liquid ejection head. A liquid ejection head as an ejection-energy inspection target includes an ejection element substrate having a substrate, a heat generation portion having an electrothermal converter on the substrate, a protective film covering the electrothermal converter, and an organic layer covering the electrothermal converter and the protective film. For this liquid ejection head, an electrical resistance value of the electrothermal converter is acquired as a first measurement result, and the film thickness of a film thickness measurement portion of the ejection element substrate where the protective film is exposed is acquired as a second measurement result. Further, information on ejection energy needed to eject liquid from the ejection port is obtained based on the first and second measurement results.

A liquid storage container attachable to and detachable from a recording apparatus includes: a liquid storage bag that includes a supply port for supplying liquid to a port to be supplied of the recording apparatus and is configured to store liquid; an opening and closing body movable between an open position that allows liquid to be supplied from the supply port to the port to be supplied and a closed position that closes the supply port; a handle configured to move the opening and closing body between the open position and the closed position; and a lock mechanism configured to lock the opening and closing body in the closed position so as to permit the opening and closing body to move to the open position only when the liquid storage container is in an attached state in which the liquid storage container is attached to the recording apparatus.

Provided is a technique in which liquid leaking in attachment and detachment of a liquid storage container to and from a printing apparatus can be retained with a simple, space-saving configuration. The liquid storage container can be attached to the printing apparatus. The liquid storage container includes a storage portion that stores the liquid, a supply port that supplies the liquid stored in the storage portion to the printing apparatus, and a liquid retaining portion that is capable of retaining the liquid leaking in the attachment and detachment of the liquid storage container to and from the printing apparatus by using capillary force. The liquid retaining portion extends along an outer peripheral surface of the supply port, in an attachment direction in which the liquid storage container is attached to the printing apparatus.

Provided is a liquid storage container that allows for a simplified structure and a reduction in the size and the cost of a printing apparatus. To this end, the liquid storage container includes: two liquid chambers partitioned from each other; a flow path through which liquid can move between the liquid chambers; a valve configured to open and close the flow path; a refilling port that is configured to be opened and closed and through which a liquid chamber can be refilled with the liquid; and a pressure adjustment mechanism that is provided in a liquid chamber configured not to be refilled with the liquid through the refilling port and that adjusts a pressure in the printing head.

An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing drum; an exposing unit for exposing the drum; an electric circuit board provided substantially perpendicularly to an apparatus installing floor; a driving unit for supplying a driving force; a first metal plate supporting the exposing unit; a second metal plate supporting the electric circuit board; and a third metal plate supporting the driving unit. At least one of the first, second and third plates is provided at each of four sides of the apparatus, the four sides being substantially perpendicular to the floor. The first, second and third plates are electrically connected with each other.

The image forming apparatus includes an open/close cover, a side cover, and a fan configured to take in ambient air through a vent hole, and generate airflow to cool an inside of the image forming apparatus, wherein the side cover includes an outside surface C, at least part of which faces the open/close cover, and a vent hole is provided in the outside surface C.

A push type key includes a base including a main body, a key portion having an operation surface, first and second elastic portions connecting between the main body and the key portion, and an electrical equipment substrate provided on a back side of the base. The substrate includes an operating portion acted on by the key portion when the key portion moves. The first and second elastic portions have symmetrical configurations with respect to a phantom line passing through a center of the key portion, as seen perpendicularly to the operation surface.
