A seat position detecting apparatus includes a fixed rail fixed on a vehicle floor, a movable rail at which a vehicle seat is supported for sliding on the fixed rail, and a position detecting mechanism directly mounted at one of either the fixed rail or the movable rail for detecting a relative position between the fixed rail and the movable rail by detecting the other of either the fixed rail or the movable rail, wherein a first engaging mechanism is provided at either the fixed rail or the movable rail at which the position detecting mechanism is mounted, and a second engaging mechanism provided complementarily to the first engaging mechanism engages with the first engaging mechanism through the position detecting mechanism.

Seat position detecting apparatus, a rail position detecting apparatus and a movable body detecting apparatus

A position detecting sensor for detecting a position of a magnetic body includes a first yoke, a first pair of magnets respectively possessing first and second poles and provided at both sides of the first yoke, a magnetic detecting element located at a distant position at a right angle from a center portion on a line connecting the first pair of magnets. The first pole of one of the first pair of magnets faces one side of the first yoke and the second pole of the other one of the first pair of magnets faces the other side of the first yoke. The first pole of the one of the first pair of magnets is the same as the first pole of the other one of the first pair of magnets.

The deflection yokes are positioned facing the magnetic flux sensing surfaces. The deflection yokes are positioned within a range of three quarters of a distance between the first magnet and the second magnet in X-axis direction and one half of a distance between the first magnet and the second magnet in Y-axis direction.

Angular sensor with a magneto-electric transducer and a magnetic deflection device

A position detecting sensor includes a magnet, a magnetic detecting element, and a yoke adjacent to or near the magnet. A detected member is positioned at one side of the position detecting sensor so as to be adjacent to or away from the position detecting sensor. The magnet is oriented to generate a magnetic line of flux which flows in a direction complying with an extending direction of the detected member. The magnetic detecting element is positioned in an area in which a magnetic flux density generated by the magnet is relatively low when the detected member is positioned away from the position detecting sensor and a magnetic flux density is relatively high when the detected member is positioned adjacent to the position detecting sensor.

A seat position detecting device includes a stationary rail fixedly attached to a stationary part, a movable rail movable relative to the stationary rail, a case mounted to one of the stationary rail and the movable rail and housing a position detecting member for detecting a position of the one relative to the other of the stationary rail and the movable rail, and a positioning member formed with the case and extending in a direction of a detected member so as to determine a relative position between the case and the detected member. The positioning member is removable from the case after positioning the case relative to the detected member.

A slide rheostat type linear characteristic sensor includes a detecting resistor R2 printed on a substrate 8. A brush 7 slides on the detecting resistor R2. Clamping resistors R1 and R3 are printed, simultaneously with the detecting resistor, on the substrate 8 at positions separate from a sliding area of the brush 7. The clamping resistors R1 and R3 are made of the same material as the detecting resistor R2.
