A pressure sensitive adhesive sheet is provided which comprises a base material having insulation properties, an inorganic filler-containing resin layer provided at least at one side of the base material and containing an insulating inorganic filler, and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer provided as an outermost layer of at least one surface. According to such a pressure sensitive adhesive sheet, insulation properties can be ensured even when the base material undergoes carbonization and/or combustion/decomposition due to high temperatures and insulation breakdown occurs in the base material.

Pressure sensitive adhesive sheet

A pressure sensitive adhesive sheet for use for a battery is provided. The pressure sensitive adhesive sheet comprises a base material, a hard coat layer provided at one side of the base material, and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer provided at a side of the hard coat layer opposite to the base material. The pressure sensitive adhesive sheet can well maintain the adhesive strength to suppress delamination from an adherend even in case of contact with an electrolyte solution.

Provided are a light diffusion film having a single-layered light diffusion layer, in which the uniformity of the intensity of diffused light in the light diffusion angle region can be increased, or the light diffusion angle region can be expanded effectively, by regulating the combination of the angles of inclination of pillar-shaped objects in plural columnar structure regions, and a method for manufacturing a light diffusion film. Disclosed is a light diffusion film having a single-layered light diffusion layer, the light diffusion film having a first columnar structure region and a second columnar structure region, in which plural pillar-shaped objects having a relatively high refractive index are arranged to stand close together in a region having a relatively low refractive index, sequentially from the lower part of the film along the film plane.

Light diffusion film and light diffusion film manufacturing method

An optical-diffusion film for display which, particularly when applied to a display device using a collimated backlight as a backlight for the display panel, can efficiently diffuse and emit a highly directional light emitted from the collimated backlight toward the front of the display device as image display light, without allowing straight transmission of the highly directional light, and a display device using the optical-diffusion film for display are provided. Disclosed is a single layered optical-diffusion film having a columnar structure in which plural pillar-shaped objects having a relatively high refractive index are arranged to stand close together in a film thickness direction in a region having a relatively low refractive index, in which the film thickness of the optical-diffusion film has a value within the range of 60 to 700 &#x3bc;m, and the haze value obtainable in the case in which light is made incident in the normal line direction of the film plane has a value of 80% or more.

Optical-diffusion film for display and display device using same

Provided are an optical-diffusion film for display which, particularly when applied to a reflective display device, can efficiently diffuse and emit an external light incident from a wide range of angles toward the front of the display device as image display light, and a reflective display device using the optical-diffusion film. Disclosed is an optical-diffusion film for display, which is a single-layered optical-diffusion film obtained by photocuring a composition for optical-diffusion film including two or more kinds of polymerizable compounds having different refractive indices, and in which the film thickness of the optical-diffusion film has a value within the range of 60 to 700 &#x3bc;m, and when a coating layer formed by applying a composition for optical-diffusion film in a film form is photocured, and the incident angle of incident light with respect to the normal line of the film plane is varied in the range of &#x2212;70&#xb0; to 70&#xb0; along the travel direction of the coating layer at the time of photocuring, the haze value at each incident angle has a value of 70% or more.

Optical-diffusion film for display and reflective display device using same

A light diffusion film in which the angle of aperture of diffused light has been expanded effectively by forming, within the film, a predetermined columnar structure composed of pillar-shaped objects having a bent part and a region having a relatively low refractive index, and a method for manufacturing the light diffusion film are provided. Disclosed is a light diffusion film having a columnar structure in which plural pillar-shaped objects having a relatively high refractive index are arranged to stand close together in the film thickness direction in a region having a relatively low refractive index, and the plural pillar-shaped objects having a relatively high refractive index have a bent part in the middle of the pillar-shaped objects.

An anisotropic light diffusion film includes increased uniformity of the intensity of diffused light in the light diffusion angle region, and the light diffusion angle region has been effectively expanded. The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition used for an optical filter of a plasma display comprises (A) a (meth)acrylic ester base copolymer having a cross-linkable functional group in a molecule, (B) a cross-linking agent and (C) an organic fine particle in which a difference in a refractive index from that of the above (meth)acrylic ester base copolymer is 0.03 or more and which has an average particle diameter of 1 to 15 &#x3bc;m and an adhesive sheet prepared by forming the same.
