A connector of the present invention includes a fixed housing, a movable housing, a plurality of terminals, and a metal movement restricting member to be attached to the fixed housing. The movable housing includes a main body portion for insertion in a loose fit state into an insertion hole of the fixed housing, and a protrusion portion projecting from the main body portion. In the state where the main body portion has been inserted into the insertion hole, the protrusion portion projects from the main body portion along a perpendicular direction that is perpendicular to both the insertion direction and the width direction. When the main body portion becomes displaced in a direction opposite to the insertion direction, the movement restricting member restricts the amount of displacement of the movable housing by abutting against the protrusion portion.

Connector

Provided is a connector having excellent abrasion resistance. The invention applies to a connector including a terminal portion electrically connecting two objects to be connected and a connector housing portion in which the terminal portion is accommodated. The connector housing portion has a first housing in which a fixing portion to which a fixed portion formed in the terminal portion is to be fixed is formed and a second housing that engages with a main body-side housing fixed to one of the objects to be connected in a state in which the first housing is accommodated in the second housing.

Connector and electrical connection device

A male connector includes a housing fixed to a base, a holding unit supported in such a manner as to enable displacement with respect to the housing; and an elastically deformable male terminal held by the holding unit. The housing is able to maintain the holding unit in a stationary state with the terminal undeformed and apart from the conductive film, while the holding unit is in the temporal locking position with the housing fixed to the base. The housing is able to maintain the holding unit in a stationary state with the terminal elastically deformed and contacting the conductive film, while the holding unit is in the non-temporal locking position with the housing fixed to the base.

A guide connector includes a first movable body, a second movable body, a box-like body capable of accommodating the movable bodies, and a lid. The guide connector is positioned below a substrate. Contacts are inserted into a female connector after passing through contact insertion holes to of the guide connector and penetrating the substrate. After the electrical connection between the contacts and female contacts are respectively established, a slider is pressed down, which causes pressing pins and to press the first movable body and the second movable body. With this, a lower stage of the first movable body and a lower stage of the second movable body detach from restriction beams. This allows springs to extend, to move the first movable body and the second movable body away from the contacts.

In an electrical connector, a female housing is made to mate with a male housing. The female housing has guide ways each formed perpendicularly to a direction of mating of the male housing with the female housing. In the guide ways, a latch metal is disposed. The guide ways of the female housing respectively have opening portions from each of which the corresponding latch part of the latch metal is capable of projecting toward the male housing. When the male housing is inserted into the female housing, the latch parts are respectively projected from the opening portions of the female housing toward the male housing. The latch parts are respectively locked at predetermined inclined planes a formed on the male housing.

The present invention provides a connector capable of being simply and easily connected without loss of electrical continuity even in a harsh environment. An electrical connector comprises a male connector component supporting connecting terminals, which are electrically connected to to-be-connecting terminals of a female connector element, and a cover element attached to the male connector component to the connecting terminals. The male connector component includes a peripheral wall, which forms a cavity for a ferrite member and which includes flexible latches to restrain movement of the ferrite member. The cover element includes an outer peripheral wall adapted for fitting the peripheral wall of the male connector component. The cover element also includes a latching part disposed on an outer surface of the outer peripheral wall and expanding outward. The latching part engages with a recess formed in an opening of the female connector component when the cover element is fitted into the opening together with the male connector component.

A male connector componenthas a container partholding a pair of connecting terminalsand a ferrite member, and a lock partwhich has a tapered partprotruding toward the inside of the container partand in which the tapered partis engaged with a shoulderof the ferrite member. A cover elementis fitted to the male connector componentin such a way as to cover the upper opening of the container partand as to sandwich the connecting terminalsand the ferrite memberbetween the cover elementand the male connector component. The cover elementregulates the movement of the lock partin a direction in which the engagement between the lock partand shoulderis released.

Electrical connecting device

An object of the present invention is to further reduce the height and the size of a contact to be fitted to an opposite contact for establishing electrical connection, thereby reducing the thickness and the size of a connector utilizing the same, and an opposite connector to be mounted to the connector. A contact (male contact) () is disposed so that a pair of band-shaped extending sections () are overlapped with each other, and a resilient contact section which comes into abutment with an inner wall of a receiving section by a resilient force of the pair of extending sections for establishing electrical connection when being fitted in a receiving section () of an opposite contact (female contact) ().

Contact and connector utilizing the same

An electrical connector assembly for flexible flat cable used for electrically connecting a plurality of contacts and a flexible flat cable. The electrical connector assembly includes a housing in which the contacts and the flexible flat cable are inserted; and a housing lock to be freely rotatably engaged in the housing and press the flexible flat cable for the holding in such a manner as to bend the flexible flat cable. This permits the flexible flat cable to be prevented from slipping off and also permits it to be kept in its connected and held state even when used in an environment subjected to vibration and external force.

The object of the present invention is to provide an electrical connector in which a mechanism for preventing the incorrect insertion of terminals is part of the housing lances so that the incorrect insertion of terminals is prevented. Housing lances 6 are formed in the housing 2 of an electrical connector 1. The housing lances 6 have an inclined surface 8 which protrudes into cavities 4, and recesses 20, which accommodate projections 76 used to prevent the incorrect insertion of terminals 70, are formed in the inclined surfaces 8. Stop surfaces 22 which are contacted by the projections 76 are formed in the front portions of the recesses 20. As a result, further insertion of the terminals 70 is prevented so that incorrect insertion is prevented.
