A carbamate ester compound represented by the general formula:Z—OCONH(CH)NHCOO—Z  [I]wherein Z is [i], [ii], or [iii] below, and n is an integer of 2 to 10, (wherein Rand Rare each independently a lower alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, Ris a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, and a is 1 or 2). The carbamate ester compound is used as a vulcanizing agent for carboxyl group-containing acrylic rubber and improves the delay of the vulcanization rate by scorch suppression.

Provided is a fluorine-containing diblock copolymer having good water and oil repellency by using, as a raw material, a fluorine-containing (meth)acrylic ester having low bioaccumulation potential. The fluorine-containing diblock copolymer is produced by: process (A) a process for producing a fluorine-containing diblock copolymer by polymerizing a fluorine-containing (meth)acrylic ester represented by the following formula (1) in the presence of a trithiocarbonic ester compound and a radical polymerization initiator and then polymerizing a non-fluorine vinyl-based monomer, or process (B) a process for producing a fluorine-containing diblock copolymer by polymerizing a non-fluorine vinyl-based monomer in the presence of a trithiocarbonic ester compound and a radical polymerization initiator and then polymerizing a fluorine-containing (meth)acrylic ester represented by the following formula (1).

Provided is a fluorine-containing macroinitiator, particularly a fluorine-containing macroinitiator that enables production of a fluorine-containing block copolymer containing a non-fluorine vinyl-based monomer having a long side chain. The fluorine-containing macroinitiator includes a polymer represented by the following formula (1) and having a number-average molecular weight of 3,000 to 100,000. In the following formula (1), R, Rand Rare each a specific group, and Q is a polymer segment composed of a structural unit represented by the following formula (2). In the following formula (2), Ris a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, Rf is a fluoroalkyl group having a specific structure, and k is an appropriate integer that is not 0. 

Fluorinated-containing macroinitiator and production process for the same

Disclosed is a curable fluorine-containing polyether composition comprising (A) 100 parts by weight of a fluorine-containing polyether compound of the formula: wherein Ris a hydrogen atom, a C-Calkyl group, or a phenyl group, X is a bromine or iodine atom, l and m are integers of 10 or more, and l+m is 30 to 200; (B) 1 to 20 parts by weight of a fluorine-containing aromatic boronic acid ester compound of the formula: wherein Ris a C-Cdivalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group, and Y is a C-Cfluoroalkyl group; (C) 0.0001 to 1 parts by weight of a zero-valent or divalent organopalladium compound; (D) 0.5 to 10 parts by weight of a basic inorganic or organic compound; and (E) 0 to 5 parts by weight of an organophosphorus compound. The curable fluorine-containing polyether composition can produce a cured product that has improved compression set characteristics.

A fluorine-containing boronic acid ester represented by the general formula: (Ris a linear or branched divalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 2 to 10 carbon atoms, Ris a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms or phenyl group, n is an integer of 1 to 3, and m is an integer of 0 to 4) having an improved solubility in organic solvents is produced by reacting a fluorine-containing 3,5-dihalogenoanilide derivative represented by the general formula: (Ris a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms or phenyl group, X is a halogen atom, n is an integer of 1 to 3, and m is an integer of 0 to 4) with a dialkoxyborane represented by the general formula: (Ris a linear or branched divalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 2 to 10 carbon atoms).

Fluorine-containing boronic acid ester compound and method for producing the same

A fluorinated dicarbonyl fluoride FOCCF(CF)[OCFCF(CF)]OCFCFO[CF(CF)CFO]CF(CF)COF (l+m is 30-130) is reacted with an aromatic amine XCHNHR(Ris H, alkyl, or phenyl and X is I or Br) to obtain a fluorinated polyether compound of the following formula. The compound obtained is mixed with an aromatic boric ester, an organopalladium compound, and a basic inorganic or organic compound (and organophosphorus compound) to form a curable fluorinated polyether composition. This curable fluorinated polyether composition has satisfactory processability including moderate flowability at room temperature. It is applicable to various molding techniques including injection molding and RIM.

A fluorine-containing polyether compound having the following general formula: (where Ris a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, or a phenyl group; X is a bromine atom or an iodine atom; l and m each are independently an integer of 10 or more; and l+m is 30-200) can be produced by reaction of a fluorine-containing dicarboxylic acid fluoride compound having the following general formula: (where l and m each are independently an integer of 10 or more, and l+m is 30-200) with an aromatic amine compound having the following general formula: [where Ris a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, or a phenyl group, Ris a hydrogen atom or a group represented by the general formula &#x2014;SiRRR(where R, Rand Reach are independently an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms or a phenyl group); and X is a bromine atom or an iodine atom] preferably in the presence of pyridine or a tertiary amine compound such as triethylamine, etc.

A fluorine-containing boronic acid ester compound (R: a linear or branched divalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 2 to 10 carbon atom, m: 1 to 5, and n: 3 to 7) having a low melting point is produced by reacting a 3,5-dihalogeno fluorine-containing phenol derivative with a dialkoxyborane  The fluorine-containing boronic acid ester compound is highly soluble in organic solvents and has a low melting point. The fluorine-containing boronic acid ester compound can suitably be used as a starting material for the production of conjugated polymer materials or as a curing agent for elastomeric polymer materials.

A fluorine-containing elastomer having a copolymer composition, which comprises (a) 50-85 mol. % of vinylidene fluoride, (b) 0-25 mol. % of tetrafluoroethylene, (c) 7-20 mol. % of perfluoro(methyl vinyl ether), (d) 2.5-15 mol. % of CF&#x2550;CFO[CFCF(CF)O]nCF(n: 2-6), (e) 0.1-2 mol. % of CF&#x2550;CFO[CFCF(CF)O]mCFCF(m: 2-6), and (f) 0.1-2 mol. % of RfX (Rf: an unsaturated fluorohydrocarbon group having 2-8 carbon atoms, which can contain at least one ether bond, X: bromine or iodine), can provide a fluorine-containing elastomer composition, which comprises 100 parts by weight of the fluorine-containing elastomer, 0.1-10 parts by weight of an organic peroxide, 0.1-10 parts by weight of a polyfunctional unsaturated compound, and at least 2 parts by weight of an acid acceptor. The composition can give vulcanizates having a distinguished elongation at break at high temperatures such as 100&#xb0; C., and distinguished compression set characteristics at low temperatures such as 0&#xb0; C.

A fluorine-containing elastomer having a copolymer composition, which comprises 50-85% by mole of (a) vinylidene fluoride, 0-25% by mole of (b) tetrafluoroethylene, 7-20% by mole of (c) perfluoro(methyl vinyl ether), 3-15% by mole of (d) CF&#x2550;CFO[CFCF(CF)O]nCFand 0.1-2% by mole of (e) RfX, where Rf is an unsaturated fluorohydrocarbon group having 2-8 carbon atoms and X is a bromine or iodine atom, can give curing products with distinguished low-temperature characteristics and solvent resistance without deteriorating the distinguished moldability and compression set characteristics proper to the fluorine-containing elastomer, and a fluorine-containing elastomer composition, which comprises 100 parts by weight of the present fluorine-containing elastomer, 0.1-10 parts by weight of an organic peroxide, 0.1-10 parts by weight of a polyfunctional unsaturated compound and not less than 2 parts by weight of an acid acceptor can give curing products with distinguished low-temperature characteristics and fuel oil resistance.

The polymerization initiator-containing solution obtained by mixing a specific perfluorodicarboxylic acid fluoride (A) with CsF in an aprotic polar solvent with stirring to conduct reaction and thereby form a polymerization initiator (B) and then allowing the reaction solution to stand for not less than 72 hours at a temperature of 0 to 30&deg; C. A polymerization initiator-containing solution comprises a specific polymerization initiator (B&prime;) and an aprotic polar solvent. The process for preparing a perfluoropolyether comprises polymerizing hexafluoropropylene oxide in the presence of the polymerization initiator-containing solution.

Fluorine-containing elastomers produced through copolymerization reaction of vinylidene fluoride, tetrafluoroethylene, perfluoro(lower alkyl vinyl ether) and chlorotrifluoroethylene in the presence of a bromine-containing monomer compound and an iodine- and bromine-containing compound, where hexafluoropropene can be further copolymerized, have not only a distinguished resistance to amine-based additives and also distinguished low-temperature characteristic and engine oil resistance, and also a lower cost attained by reduced copolymer proportion of perfluoro(lower alkyl vinyl ether).
