A door control device includes: a speed control unit configured to perform speed control of an electric motor that drives a door; a speed detection unit configured to detect a speed of the door; and an obstruction detection unit configured to detect obstruction between the door and a door pocket, upon a value of the speed of the door detected by the speed detection unit decreasing by a first predetermined value or more with respect to a speed command value in the speed control during a door opening operation of the door.

The storage system of the present invention is able to generate one virtual logical device from different logical devices which exist in each of the different storage control units and remote-copy all or part of the virtual logical device to another logical device. The same virtual identifier is set for a volume of the first storage unit and for a volume of the second storage unit. The path control unit of the host identifies a plurality of volumes which have the same virtual identifier as one virtual volume. A remote copy pair can also be set by a virtual volume and a volume of the third storage unit. The setting of the virtual volume and the setting of the remote copy can be performed by means of an instruction from the management server.

The control device includes a driving force instruction value producing unit that outputs a driving force instruction value of the electrically driven door, a state observing unit that estimates a mechanical resistant force to a door driving system, a reference model that determines a dynamic characteristic of the electrically driven door to the mechanical resistant force estimated by the state observing unit, a gain compensator that computes a control compensation value that makes an output of the reference model coincide with an actual speed of the electrically driven door; and an adder that adds the control compensation value computed by the gain compensator to the driving force instruction value.

A pool, which is configured by multiple actual areas, is formed on the basis of two or more storage devices. A second storage control apparatus (DKC) determines, for each storage device, an unused capacity to be given to a first DKC with respect to each first DKC based on an unused capacity of each storage device and a request value of each storage device for each first DKC, and gives, for each first DKC, the unused capacity for each storage device determined with respect to the first DKC, to this first DKC. The request value of the storage device is based on a performance value, which is a value related to the performance of this storage device. The total capacity of multiple actual areas allocated to the virtual volumes by the first DKC is equal to or less than the unused capacity given with respect to each storage device.

A storage control system is provided where a first host system connected to a first storage controller can issue a control command to a second storage controller connected another host system. The first storage controller is connected to the second storage controller and the command is issued without providing the command to the other host system. The first storage controller has a virtual volume, a memory unit for storing information necessary for mapping the virtual volume to a logical device in the second storage controller, and attribute information for the logical device. The host system identifies the virtual volume as the logical device in the second storage controller and issues a control command to this logical device via the virtual volume.

Storage control system

A storage system or data management and migration method enabling migration of an access destination for a host system without having to stop the transmission of data between the host system and storage apparatuses. The storage system includes: a host system that issues a data read/write request; an external storage apparatus that provides an external logical volume for storing the data; and a first storage apparatus that creates a first virtual logical volume. In this system, the host system makes a request to the first storage apparatus to map volume information composed of the management information for the external logical volume; in response to the mapping request, the first storage apparatus maps the volume information for the external logical volume onto the first virtual logical volume and sends the volume information for the external logical volume and first virtual logical volume to the host system; based on the volume information for the external logical volume sent from the first storage apparatus, the host system searches for any virtual logical volume having the same volume information as the volume information for the first virtual logical volume or external logical volume, and sets the virtual logical volume searched for in this search as an alternate volume for receiving requests to read/write data from/to the external logical volume.
