A washing and dehydrating machine includes a circulating passage communicating between interior and exterior of a water tub, warm air generating unit rendering air in the passage warm, an overflow outlet located in the water tub surface, so that water flows through the overflow outlet when a water level in the water tub is increased to or above a level, a drain conduit introduced outside the machine via a drain valve, through which water in the water tub is discharged, an overflow conduit having a lower end connected to the drain valve and communicating with the overflow outlet, and air stopping unit located in the overflow conduit and including a trap cutting off air flow and a water supply unit supplying water to the trap, allowing water to pass through and stopping air flow. The overflow conduit is introduced outside the machine via the air stopping unit.

Washing and drying machine

A drum-type washer/dryer having an evaporator for performing dehumidification by cooling air drawn from the inner space of a drum and also having condenser for heating the air dehumidified by the evaporator, wherein the air heated by the condenser is made to sequentially pass through a duct and a blowhole and blown as dry air to clothes in the drum. A backflow preventing portion is provided in the duct, and when bubbles flow back into the duct from the inner space of the drum through the blowhole, the backflow preventing portion functions as resistance for preventing the back flow of the bubbles.

Drum-type washer/dryer

A humidity sensor and a method for producing the same, in which an insulating film is first formed on a substrate. A first sensing film is formed on a first electrode to be separated by a space from the insulating film. A second sensing film of the same material as the first sensing film is again formed on the first sensing film and the insulating film, the space therebetween being filled with the second sensing film. Thus a uniform surface etching of the second sensing film is effected, to obtain a continuous flat film layer composed of the sensing film and the insulating film with a continuous flat surface, and in which a second electrode is formed on at least the sensing film.

Humidity sensor and method for producing the same

A capacitance type sensitive element comprises a pair of electrode pairs formed on an insulating substrate and having opposite electrode faces perpendicular or slantingly formed with respect to a face of the insulating substrate; and a sensing material disposed between the opposite electrode faces of the electrodes and having electrical characteristics changed on the basis of the physical or chemical interaction between the sensing material and a substance to be detected. A method for manufacturing a capacitance type sensitive element comprises the steps of forming a groove on an insulating substrate; forming a metallic thin film having a predetermined thickness on the insulating substrate having the groove; performing the etching of a predetermined pattern in a portion including a bottom face portion of the groove in the metallic thin film, and forming a pair of electrodes; coating the entire surface of the pair of electrodes and the insulating substrate with a humidity sensitive material, and thereafter hardening the coated humidity sensitive material; and patterning the hardened humidity sensitive material. A method for manufacturing a capacitance type sensitive element may comprise the steps of forming a metallic thin film having a predetermined thickness on an insulating substrate; patterning the metallic thin film and forming a pair of electrodes at a predetermined distance; coating the entire surface of the insulating substrate including a pair of electrodes with a humidity sensitive material, and thereafter hardening the coated humidity sensitive material; and patterning the hardened humidity sensitive material.
