An image forming apparatus includes an image forming device that forms an image on a recording material, a forming device storage space storing the image forming device, a temperature adjustment space where a temperature adjustment device adjusts temperature, and a supply unit that supplies air in the temperature adjustment space into the forming device storage space.

A particle collecting device includes a vent pipe having a channel space through which air flows, a first air blower that delivers air including a particle at a first end of the vent pipe into the channel space, a collector that is disposed to block a channel in the channel space at an intermediate part of the vent pipe and that collects the particle included in the air delivered by the first air blower, and a second air blower that collects the air traveling through the collector at a second end of the vent pipe and that delivers the air outward from the channel space. The first and second air blowers operate such that a first pressure in a first channel space extending from the first air blower to the collector and a second pressure in a second channel space extending from the collector to the second air blower are maintained to have a relationship in which the second pressure&#x3c;the first pressure&#x2264;atmospheric pressure. The first and second channel spaces are included in the channel space of the vent pipe.

Particle collecting device and image forming apparatus

There is provided a medium cooling apparatus. A first cooling unit cools a medium by absorbing heat from the medium when the medium is in contact with an outer surface of the first cooling unit. A second cooling unit is arranged on the downstream side from the first cooling unit in a medium conveyance direction, and cools the medium by absorbing heat from the medium when the medium is in contact with an outer surface of the second cooling unit, and is set such that an amount of heat absorption is smaller than an amount of heat absorption of the first cooling unit.

An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body, an image holding member, at least one image forming unit, a recording medium container, a plate-shaped separator, and an air blowing device. The at least one image forming unit forms an image on the image holding member. The recording medium container contains a recording medium to be fed to the at least one image forming unit. The separator has an opening, is adjacent to the at least one image forming unit in the apparatus body, and separates the at least one image forming unit and the recording medium container from each other. The air blowing device is disposed at the opening provided in the separator. An adjacent space in which the recording medium container is disposed is provided. The air blowing device blows air from the adjacent space toward the at least one image forming unit.

An image forming apparatus includes an air blowing device, an apparatus body, and at least one developer container that has an outer periphery, that is disposed in the apparatus body, and that contains developer. The image forming apparatus has a first transport path that allows a recording medium having undergone heat fixing is transported therethrough and a second transport path that extends in a different direction from a direction of the first transport path and that allows the recording medium to be transported along the outer periphery of the at least one developer container. A space is formed between the at least one developer container and the second transport path. The air blowing device is disposed between the first transport path and the at least one developer container, causes air to flow through the space so as to blow the air toward the first transport path.

Image forming apparatus with internal airflow

A cleaning device includes a cleaning member that includes a cleaning portion that cleans a light transmission member, which has a substantially elongated shape and which transmits light, and a support portion that supports the cleaning portion and a wall portion that is disposed on one end side of the light transmission member in a longitudinal direction of the light transmission member and that has a surface that is formed along a direction that intersects the longitudinal direction of the light transmission member. The cleaning member and the wall portion each have a configuration in which when an end of the cleaning member makes contact with the wall portion and is pressed, the support portion is bent in a convex manner toward a side opposite to a side on which the light transmission member is disposed.

A removal mechanism includes a removing member, an accommodation section, a receiver, and a cooling path. The removing member rubs against an extraneous-matter-adhered member, to which extraneous matter is adhered, so as to remove the extraneous matter therefrom. The accommodation section accommodates therein the extraneous matter removed by the removing member. The receiver receives, at a lower side of the accommodation section, the extraneous matter spilling out and dropping from the accommodation section. The cooling path allows gas so flow therethrough so as to cool the accommodation section from outside thereof. The cooling path is spatially isolated from a passage chamber through which the extraneous matter dropping from the accommodation section toward the receiver passes, an accommodation chamber for the extraneous matter in the accommodation section, and a chamber above the receiver that receives the extraneous matter.

A drawer member that is capable of being drawn out from an image forming apparatus body and that includes a fixing unit that heats and fixes an image onto a recording medium, a first flow path that is formed around the fixing unit and that causes air that is heated by heat, which is discharged from the fixing unit, to circulate, and a second flow path that is formed adjacent to the first flow path on a side opposite to the fixing unit and in which air having a temperature lower than a temperature of air, which circulates in the first flow path, circulates.

A waste-developer collecting device includes a developing device that develops a latent image with developer, a storage section that stores the developer transported from the developing device, and a path section extending from the developing device to the storage section, and including a downward path through which the developer in the developing device flows together with air in the developing device, the downward path guiding the flowing developer downward. An opening is provided on an upper side and an upstream side of a lowermost level of the downward path so that a part of the air flowing in the path section is released out through the opening.

Waste-developer collecting device and image forming apparatus including the waste-developer collecting device

An exhaust apparatus includes a first exhausting section including a first exhausting member and a first flow path provided with an air inlet disposed above a heating device for heating a recording medium, a second exhausting section including a second exhausting member and a second flow path provided with an air inlet disposed downstream of the heating device in a transporting direction of the recording medium, and a third flow path provided with an air inlet disposed upstream of the heating device in the transporting direction. The first and second flow paths cause air in a housing that accommodates the heating device to flow to the outside. The first and second exhausting member exhaust the air using the first and second flow paths. The third flow path causes the air to flow from the air inlet thereof to the air inlet of the first flow path.
