An electronic control unit () of a drive assist apparatus () acquires electric power source identification information for identifying a source of an electric power currently charged in a battery and electric power amount information representing an electric power amount corresponding to the source from an electric power acquisition unit (), thereby recognizing a battery remaining amount SOCrg representing a green electric power, a battery remaining amount SOCj representing a privately generated green electric power, and a battery remaining amount SOCrs representing a non-green electric power. The unit () presents travelable ranges each formed by connecting a group of maximum reachable points to which a PHV can reach by using each of a battery total remaining amount SOCr and the battery remaining amounts SOCrg, SOCj, and SOCrs to a user (driver) by using an information presentation unit ().

Drive assist apparatus

An electronic control unit of a drive assist apparatus acquires electric power source identification information for identifying a source of an electric power currently charged in a battery and electric power amount information representing an electric power amount corresponding to the source from an electric power acquisition unit, thereby recognizing a battery remaining amount SOCrg representing a green electric power, a battery remaining amount SOCj representing a privately generated green electric power, and a battery remaining amount SOCrs representing a non-green electric power. The unit presents travelable ranges each formed by connecting a group of maximum reachable points to which a PHV can reach by using each of a battery total remaining amount SOCr and the battery remaining amounts SOCrg, SOCj, and SOCrs to a user (driver) by using an information presentation unit.

A display apparatus includes a display section which is attached to an electric vehicle EV operable upon supply of electric power thereto and displays information regarding the electric power supplied to the electric vehicle EV; a determination section which determines whether or not the electric power supplied to the electric vehicle EV contains green electric power; and a display control section. In the case where the determination section determines that the electric power supplied to the electric vehicle EV contains green electric power, the display control section controls the display section such that the display color becomes green. In the case where the determination section determines that the electric power supplied to the electric vehicle EV does not contain green electric power, the display control section controls the display section such that the display color becomes red.

Electric power information provision apparatus for an electric vehicle

A timer IC is operated by power supplied from a standby power source so as to output a start-up signal for starting a microcomputer every time that the time period during which a non-operating state of the microcomputer continues reaches a predetermined value. When the start-up signal is supplied to a relay coil of a main relay from the timer IC, it enables power to be supplied to the microcomputer from an in-vehicle battery. When it is determined that the microcomputer is started by the timer IC, a part of a series of predetermined initial process steps is executed and process steps relating only to the failure diagnosis are executed. That is, in the above condition, execution of the control for turning on an engine check lamp and a monitor can be inhibited by interrupting output of signals to the microcomputer.

Electronic control system and method thereof

An immobilizer ECU (20) compares an internally stored reference code with a key code transmitted from a key (10). An engine ECU (24) transmits a rolling code A when an engine speed reaches 500 rpm. The immobilizer ECU (20) transmits a rolling code B when the codes coincide with each other. The engine ECU (24) will stop an engine if it cannot receive the rolling code B within a prescribed period of time. Further, there is provided a counter CIMMOF which is incremented at the beginning of such a process. The counter CIMMOF is reset only when the process is normally completed. If an ignition is turned off prior to transmission and reception of the rolling codes, the counter CIMMOF will be counted up. According to a value of the counter CIMMOF, a period of waiting for the rolling code B is gradually shortened. Further, when the process is completed or a backup power supply to a backup memory (24d) is cut off, a time to transmit and receive the rolling codes is advanced. Thus, the situation where the engine will be able to start due to disconnection of a communication line or the like is prevented.

Machine start controlling apparatus

To prevent the engine from becoming able to be started by a cut-off of the communication line, for example, an engine control ECU 20 contains a reference code which is used to compare with a personal ID code transmitted from a transponder 12 of a key 10. A key insertion detecting switch 22 start this comparison when the insertion of the key is detected, and finishes the comparison before the engine is started. When a trouble of the key insertion detecting switch 22 is detected, a code collating section 20b collates the ID code with a reference code until the number of revolutions of the engine 30 exceeds 500 rpm. Therefore, even when the key insertion detecting switch 22 becomes out of order, it is possible to recognize the operation with a correct key, and give a permission to start the engine 30.

Anti-theft system for vehicles

A method of cleaning and disinfecting a contact lens, comprising the steps of: preparing a disinfectant which is an aqueous solution containing an iodine-complex polymer, and a diluent which is an aqueous solution containing ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid and/or soluble salts thereof, and a nonionic surface active agent; mixing the disinfectant and the diluent to provide a mixed solution, such that an available iodine concentration of the mixed solution immediately after mixing is in a range of 0.01-50 ppm, and such that concentrations of the ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid and/or the soluble salts thereof, and the nonionic surface active agent in the mixed solution are in a range of 0.0001-1.0 w/v % and in a range of 0.01-1.0 w/v %, respectively; and immersing the contact lens in the mixed solution for cleaning and disinfecting the contact lens, resulting in gradual reduction of the available iodine remaining in the mixed solution, by the ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid and/or the soluble salts thereof.

Method of cleaning and disinfecting contact lens

The throttle valve control device of this invention controls a throttle based on outputs of a position sensor including a first sensor and a second sensor which detect a position of a same object, wherein the output of the first sensor and the output of the second sensor change opposite to each other depending on a change in the position of the object, and the throttle valve control device determines the position sensor abnormal when a variation in the output of the first sensor is equal to or greater than a first threshold value and a variation in the output of the second sensor is equal to or greater than a second threshold value.

An engine start controlling device prevents an engine from starting with exchanged ECUs. In a non-volatile memory 20f of an engine control ECU 20, information regarding whether or not an immobilizer function is used is stored, while a judging unit 20e interprets signals from input terminals 40-1-40-n and judges whether or not an immobilizer function is available. Only when the signals from the input terminals 40-1-40-n show immobilizer function unavailableness does the ECU operate as an ECU without the immobilizer function.

Engine start controlling device

In an engine start control device useful as a vehicle robbery prevention device, a reference code is stored in EEPROM (20a) of an immobilizer ECU (20), and a processor (20b) compares a key code transmitted from a transponder (12) of a key (10) with the reference code. Subsequently, in case of an inconsistency, a signal L is transmitted to an engine ECU (24) to stop an engine (30), but when the collation is not completed or when another communication is not performed, the immobilizer ECU (20) transmits to the engine ECU (24) a start code encoded in an encoder (20c). The engine ECU (24) decodes the start code by a decoder (24b) to recognize it. Subsequently, if the start code cannot be recognized, the engine (30) is stopped. Thereby, in a case where a communication line connecting the immobilizer ECU (20) and the engine ECU (24) is disconnected, the engine (30) can be stopped.

Engine start control device

A device for dispensing a liquid, including a container having an interior space accommodating the liquid, a first valve attached to the container, a delivery path having one end submerged in the liquid and extending through the container such that the other end is outside the container, and a second valve disposed in the delivery path for closing and opening the delivery path. The first valve permits a pressurized gas to flow therethrough into the container to raise the pressure within the container, but inhibits a discharge flow of the pressurized gas and the liquid therethrough out of the interior space. The liquid is delivered out of the container through the delivery path, due to the raised pressure within the interior space. The device has a micro-porous membrane filter disposed in a portion of the delivery path which is located upstream of the second valve, as viewed in the direction of delivery of the liquid. The micro-porous membrane filter removes microorganisms from the liquid delivered from the delivery path.
