Upper and lower drums each with a blade are separated from each other by a hydraulic cylinder until a rotating velocity of the drums are accelerated to a predetermined level. Then, the drums are relatively approached by the cylinder so that gears each fitted to a shaft of the corresponding drum are engaged with each other to keep constant a gap between the blades. The blades are approached to a feed line of a strip to cut off the strip.

Disclosed is a rolling cut type double side shear wherein an upper side cutting blade and an upper scrap-cutting blade are driven by one crank shaft which has three eccentric sections, so as to increase the production efficiency and to make the shear simple in construction and compact in size.

Disclosed is a rolling cut type shear wherein a downwardly curved upper blade is moved in such a way that the midpoint thereof in the longitudinal direction passes a cycloidal path, whereby the slip of the upper blade relative to a steel plate to be cut may be prevented.
