A post in a fluid passage for passing a fluid flow extends across a part of the fluid flow; a measuring duct in the post extends through the post; and a flow rate detector is located in the measuring duct. The measuring duct has a fluid introduction port with an elongated shape, the measuring duct is constricted and has at least a portion located between the fluid introduction port and the flow rate detector, substantially smoothly narrowing toward a downstream direction of the flow in a longitudinal direction of the elongated shape.

A winding structure of induction electric apparatus cooling disc windings within a cooling block evenly. Electrical equipment winding structure providing improved cooling fluid flow

A hub, to which three blades receiving wind are fixed and extending in a radial direction of the hub at equal intervals. The hub is arranged in a spindle-shaped boss having a rectification function. A cylindrical frame is arranged on the leeward side of the boss to separate an outer peripheral surface of a generator from outside air. An outer surface of the boss, which rotates with the blades, and an outer peripheral surface of the frame form a continuous plane. On the outer peripheral surface of the frame, fins, which outwardly protrude in a radial direction of the frame and extend in an axial direction of the frame, are arranged in a circumferential direction of the frame at equal intervals. After the outside air rotates the blades, the outside air passes along the fins. Therefore, heat, which is generated in the generator and is transferred to the fins through the frame by conduction, is dissipated to the outside air. Accordingly, the temperature of the generator can be reliably maintained at a value equal to or lower than a standard value, and a wind power generating device having a simple cooling structure can be manufactured.

A machining head of a laser machining apparatus comprises a main assist gas nozzle at the center portion of the machining head for supplying a main assist gas and one or more annular sub assist gas nozzles surrounding the main assist gas nozzle, whose jet outlet of the innermost diameter is larger or equal to the jet outlet of main assist gas. The jet outlet of the main assist gas nozzle is positioned at upstream of said jet outlets of the respective sub assist gas nozzle. According to the above construction, the jet gas pressure and the jet gas velocity vary continuously at the assist gas jet outlet and the jet gas pressure and flow velocity fluctuation of the main assist gas are increased.

Device for controlling diffused air

A highly accurate thermosensitive flow rate sensor is able to reduce the detection error of a flow rate even in the case of a flow accompanied by considerable intake air pulsation in an automotive engine or the like. A flow rate detecting section disposed in a main pipe is equipped with a support member having a first guide surface and a second guide surface for guiding a fluid on opposite sides thereof, and a flow rate detection element provided on the second guide surface of the support member. The second guide surface of the support member, on which the flow rate detection element is mounted, extends longer than the first guide surface in the downstream direction.

Thermosensitive flow rate sensor

A flow rate sensor comprises: a main fluid passage for a fluid to flow therealong; a detecting pipe conduit coaxially disposed in the main fluid passage; a temperature sensing element for sensing the temperature of the fluid; a flow rate sensing element including a flow rate detecting resistance made of a thermo-sensitive electrically resistant material, the flow rate detecting element being disposed in the main fluid passage in a manner such that the flow rate detecting resistance is exposed to the fluid flowing therethrough; and a control circuit for controlling an electric current flowing to the flow rate detecting resistance such that the temperature of the flow rate detecting resistance may be maintained at a predetermined value which is higher to some extent than a fluid temperature detected by the temperature sensing element. The main fluid passage involves a converged section whose passage cross sectional area becomes gradually smaller towards the downstream side thereof. At least one portion of an inner surface of the converged section cut by a plane containing the central axis of the main fluid passage is formed by a generally three dimensional curved surface. The inlet of the detecting pipe conduit is disposed in a direction in which the fluid flows, in a manner such that the inlet of the detecting pipe conduit is at a position close to the narrowest portion of the passage cross sectional area of the converged section.

Flow rate sensor

A flow rate measuring device includes a flow rate measuring duct for placement in a primary passage for a fluid, extending substantially parallel to the primary passage, and a flow rate detector in the flow rate measuring duct for measuring a flow rate of the fluid in the primary passage, the flow rate measuring duct having a downstream wall including a notch or a through hole. The downstream wall may include an air-permeable member. The flow rate measuring device may include a projection on an outer wall of the flow rate measuring duct upstream of the notch, through hole, or air-permeable member, the projection extending in a circumferential direction with respect to the flow rate measuring duct.

A flow rate sensor comprises a fluid passage for a fluid to flow therealong; a main body structure arranged so as to turn its front end to the upstream side of the fluid and coaxially positioned within the fluid passage; and a detecting element disposed between the main body structure and the internal surface of the fluid passage. The main body structure is formed such that its cross section perpendicular to its central axis, at first becomes gradually larger from its front end towards its rear end and then becomes gradually smaller. The detecting element includes a ceramic substrate coated with a film made of a thermo-sensitive electrically resistant material. The film is formed into a meander pattern so as to form a flow rate detecting resistance. The detecting element further includes a fluid temperature compensating resistance.

An air outlet has a plurality of vertical vortex generating structures 21 in a triangular shape arranged so as to be oriented at an angle .theta. with respect to diffused air.

An air ventilation or supply system includes a blower for generating a primary flow and an induction nozzle for inducing a secondary flow produced by entrainment of the primary flow. An inlet of the blower and an inlet for the induction nozzle are adjacent each other.

Air ventilation or air supply system

A mechanism for controlling the flow of air from an air-conditioning unit includes a row of guide vanes which are pivotally held by an outlet nozzle. The guide vanes are located at the lower end of an air course which has been formed within a body of the air-conditioning unit. The guide vanes control the flow of air in both left and right directions. This new design is characterized in that the angle of inclination of each guide vane progressively changes toward the end of the row. The air flow is controlled accurately in both the left and right directions so that the air flow reaches the desired location.

Air-direction adjusting apparatus for air-conditioning equipment

In an apparatus in which a blow-out nozzle is provided at a lower end of an air course formed in the inside of a body of the air-conditioning equipment and blown air passed through the air course is blown out of a blow-outlet while guided in the left/right direction by a plurality of parallel guide vanes pivotally held by the blow-out nozzle, wherein each vane has a C-shaped annular pivotal bearing and a sleeve fitted into the bearing, a shaft extending from an inner wall of the nozzle being inserted into the sleeve, the shaft having claws which project from the upper end portion of the shaft so as to retain the sleeve.

A blowoff orifice is constituted by an upper wall, a lower wall and a vertical wind deflecting plate. The upper wall inclines so that a flow passage becomes narrow toward downstream and provided with a protrusion at its end portion. The lower wall has a horizontal linear portion on the downstream side and an end portion forming an acute angle at the tip of the linear portion. The vertical wind deflecting plate is provided between the upper wall and the lower wall, and capable of changing an airflow from a horizontal direction to a downward direction. The upper wall protrusion is located more downstream than the lower wall end portion.
