A method for precisely predicting phase equilibrium from existing phase equilibrium data on the basis of a wide range of phase equilibrium data including binary vapor-liquid equilibrium data; a method or apparatus for designing or controlling a component separator or a refiner using the prediction method; and a program for designing this design or control apparatus. Binary phase equilibrium measurement data is used to calculate an index of proximity ratio to critical points and infinite dilution pressure gradients. The obtained index is correlated with the infinite dilution pressure gradients to newly calculate infinite dilution activity coefficients from the respective index to infinite dilution pressure gradients correlations. The obtained infinite dilution activity coefficients values are used to predict phase equilibrium. Thus, the obtained values are used to design or control a component separator or a refiner, such as a distillation column.

Highly accurate correlating method for phase equilibrium data, and phase equilibrium calculation method

Upper and lower support members, supporting a valve, are lowered toward a valve guide with at least the lower support member vibrated by a vibrating device. When a lower-end chamfered surface of the valve has failed to be brought into contact with the opening edge of the guide through the lowering, not only the upper support member is caused to gradually move away from an umbrella section of the valve but also the position of supporting, by the lower support member, of a shaft section of the valve is displaced downward after the lower end of the shaft section of the valve contacts the upper end surface of the guide, so that vibrating movement of the lower end of the shaft section is reduced to allow the chamfered surface to contact the opening edge. Then, the valve is inserted into the guide by a pressing member.

Method and apparatus for inserting a valve into a valve guide

A method of controlling a rotary magnet multi-phase synchronous motor and a control system based on this method increases the permissible range of accuracy in installing a position detector on the synchronous motor and automatically calculates a phase correction to improve controllability. Using a position detector for detecting a magnet position of a rotary magnet multi-phase synchronous motor and a drive unit, the synchronous motor having the position detector is driven by a drive unit. After the synchronous motor reaches a constant speed, current and drive voltage of the synchronous motor are measured to calculate a phase correction value between a biaxial coordinate axis based upon the installation error of the position detector and a biaxial coordinate system from conversion of a polyphase AC coordinate system based on the measured current and drive voltage, constants of the synchronous motor, and the constant speed. The rotor position of the synchronous motor is corrected based on this phase correction value.
