An occupant state monitoring apparatus includes an imager, a storage, and a calculation controller. The imager is configured to capture an image of an occupant who is in a vehicle. The storage is configured to store vehicle member coordinates that are position information of a vehicle member of the vehicle. The calculation controller is configured to calculate, based on the image, gaze coordinates representing a position at which the occupant gazes, and determine a state of the occupant based on the gaze coordinates and the vehicle member coordinates.

Occupant state monitoring apparatus

A structural member for a vehicle projects from a vehicle body. The structural member includes a first airflow surface and a second airflow surface along each of which airflow flows, and an imaging window. The first airflow surface and the second airflow extend between a front edge and a rear edge of the structural member in a front-rear direction of the vehicle body and face away from each other. The first airflow surface has a length longer than a length of the second airflow surface in the front-rear direction. The imaging window is provided in the first airflow surface, and an image of an area outside the vehicle body is captured through the imaging window.

A vehicle wiper device includes: a first blade having an operating range that includes an upper mid region of a vehicle windshield; a second blade having an operating range that includes a lower region of the operating range of the first blade; a blade driving unit that causes each blade to reciprocate; and a controller that controls operation of the blade driving unit. When a tip end of the second blade moves in a special control region that is oriented toward a specific region preliminarily specified in the upper mid region, the controller controls the blade driving unit such that a moving speed of the second blade is lower than a moving speed of the second blade when moving in another region.

The controller performs the control such that, after a series of normal operation in which the first blade and the second blade reciprocate while ejecting the cleaning liquid has been completed, additional movement operation is performed in a state where feeding of the cleaning liquid from the cleaning-liquid feeding unit is stopped.
