A transport device includes a transport path that includes an opening through which a developer flows into the transport path, an opening and closing portion that is provided to be movable along the transport path and that opens and closes the opening, and a transport body that is disposed in the transport path, that includes a blade formed in a spiral shape on an outer periphery of a shaft portion, that transports the developer flowing into the transport path through the opening and moves the opening and closing portion to an opening position with the blade by rotating forward, and that idly rotates with respect to the opening and closing portion moved to the opening position in a case of forward rotation.

A drive switching mechanism includes first to third transmission element trains, a connection/disconnection element disposed at one of a position between the first and second transmission element trains and a position in the third transmission element train, and a rotation restraining element disposed at the other of the positions. When a drive transmission path is disconnected by the connection/disconnection element, the rotation restraining element is drivenly rotated on the basis of a driving force transmitted from the first transmission element train and selects a drive transmission path that is different from the drive transmission path disconnected by the connection/disconnection element. When the drive transmission path is connected by the connection/disconnection element, the rotation restraining element stops being drivenly rotated on the basis of driving forces transmitted from the first and second transmission element trains and selects the drive transmission path connected by the connection/disconnection element.

Disclosed is a sheet transport device including a main body, a first transport path through which a transported sheet passes, a second transport path through which the sheet that passes through the first transport path and is reversed in a transport direction thereof passes, having a curved portion on a downstream side thereof, a first guiding member that forms a first guiding surface of the second transport path, and a second guiding member that forms a second guiding surface opposite to the guiding surface, wherein the first guiding member is supported to be rotatable between a guiding posture where the sheet is guided and an open posture that rotates from the guiding posture to open the guiding surfaces, and an interval between the first guiding member and the second guiding member in the open posture is greater than that in the guiding posture.

A sheet feeding device includes a sheet storing portion storing sheets stacked on a stacking surface thereof; a feeding roller feeding each of the sheets by rotating while being in contact with a topmost one of the sheets; a support member having a support surface that supports downstream-side part, in a sheet feeding direction, of the sheets and, at the time of sheet feeding, being movable perpendicularly to the stacking surface while lifting the downstream-side part of the sheets with the topmost sheet kept in contact with the feeding roller; and a stopper member configured to come into contact with leading ends of some sheets to be fed by the feeding roller and to stop sheets other than the topmost sheet. The support surface of the support member slopes upward, with respect to the stacking surface, toward a downstream side in the sheet feeding direction.

A feeding device includes a body having a sheet placement surface on which a sheet that is to be fed is placed; a cover rotatably provided at the body and supporting a back edge portion in a feeding direction of the sheet placed on the sheet placement surface when the cover is open; a moving member provided at the sheet placement surface so as to be movable in a direction parallel to the feeding direction; a linking member extending in a movement direction of the moving member from the moving member, one end portion thereof being rotatably linked to the moving member using a rotary shaft that is parallel to a rotary shaft of the cover; and a sheet back-edge regulating member provided at the linking member so as to be movable in the movement direction, and regulating a back edge in the feeding direction of the sheet.
