A fixing shaft portion of a valve shaft is fixed to a throttle valve at first and second locations by first and second fixing members. A first bearing includes an inner race fixed to a first rotatable shaft portion of the valve shaft, and an outer race fixed to a valve body. A second bearing includes a slidable portion axially slidably fitted to a second rotatable shaft portion of the valve shaft and a fixing portion fixed to the valve body. A linear expansion coefficient of the throttle valve and a linear expansion coefficient of the valve body are set to be larger than a linear expansion coefficient of the valve shaft in an axial direction. A first distance measured from a center point of the throttle valve to the first location is larger than a second distance measured from the center point to the second location.

Intake air control device

An ECU loads detected values of a rotation angle sensor and a pressure sensor which are mounted to an electric throttle, and executes an abnormal-sensor determination control to determine whether one of the rotation angle sensor and the pressure sensor is abnormal. Specifically, the ECU determines that one of the rotation angle sensor and the pressure sensor is abnormal, in a case where a state that a tendency of the actual opening angle detected by the rotation angle sensor does not match a tendency of the pressure detected by the downstream pressure sensor has continued for a period greater than or equal to a predetermined period. Therefore, since the pressure sensor can replace the rotation angle sensor used for detecting abnormality in a conventional technology, two rotation angle sensors can be reduced to one rotation angle sensor, and a cost is reduced.

Electronic throttle

A mounting structure for mounting a chip type electric element on a flexible board includes: the flexible board having a first land, on which a first lead terminal of another electric element is soldered; and the chip type electric element having a long side. A whole of the long side of the chip type electric element faces a long side of the first land. A length of the long side of the first land is defined as IA, and a distance between one long side of the first land and one long side of the chip type electric element is defined as IB, the one long side of the first land facing the chip type electric element but opposite to the one long side of the chip type electric element. The length of IA is equal to or larger than the distance of IB.

Mounting structure of chip type electric element and electric apparatus having chip type electric element on flexible board

A rotation angle detecting unit includes an IC package having a magnetism detecting element, a sealing body, and leads; and a covering member having a fixing part and a supporting part, which are integrally formed from resin. The element outputs a signal according to change of a magnetic field generated upon rotation of a magnetism generating device attached to a detection object. The sealing body covers the element. The leads are connected to the element, and project from the sealing body. The fixing part is fixed to a supporting body so that the covering member is attached to the supporting body. The supporting part supports the package such that the element can output the signal. The package is press-fitted into the supporting part after its formation, so that the package is supported by the supporting part with a predetermined pressure applied to part of an outer wall of the sealing body.

Rotation angle detecting unit

A sensor module includes a sensor, a cover, and a wiring unit. The cover holds the sensor and includes a connector configured to make a connection with an external device. The wiring unit is held by the cover, is arranged from the connector to the sensor, and includes a connecting member extending from the connector to a central region of the cover in its width direction, which is perpendicular to the central line, and a wiring member extending from the central region of the cover in its width direction to a vicinity of the sensor. The cover and connecting member are integrally formed from a mold material. The connecting member includes a first connecting terminal exposed from a surface of the mold material at the central region of the cover in its width direction. The wiring member includes a second connecting terminal conductively joined to the first connecting terminal.

Sensor module

A rotation angle sensor includes a housing, a detected object, a magnetism generation section, a housing cover, a circuit substrate, a sensing IC, and a resin body. The sensing IC includes a magnetism detection element, a molded body, and leads. The magnetism detection element outputs a signal in accordance with a change in a magnetic field due to a rotation of the detected object. The molded body covers the magnetism detection element. One end portion of each lead is electrically coupled with the magnetism detection element and the other end portion of each lead protrudes from the molded body and is electrically coupled with the circuit substrate. The resin body seals a portion of the molded body located between the magnetism detection element and the housing cover, the leads, and the circuit substrate.

Rotation angle sensor

A current detection unit detects an electric current caused by superimposing a direct current from a direct-current power source on an alternating current from an alternating-current power source and supplied through a brush to a direct-current motor. An extracting unit extracts an alternating-current component of the detected electric current. An angle detection unit detects a rotation angle of the motor according to the extracted alternating-current component. A direction detection unit detects a rotative direction of the motor according to a change pattern of the extracted alternating-current component. A core of the motor has slots each defined between adjacent two of teeth. The slots respectively accommodate phase coils respectively wound around the teeth. Turns of the phase coils are different from each other.

Direct-current motor control device and method for detecting state of direct-current motor

A change computing arrangement computing an amount of change in a measured value of a measurement signal of a raindrop sensor in a raindrop quantity sensing execution time period that is a time period, during which a wiper blade moves outside of a sensing range of the raindrop sensor. A difference computing arrangement computes a difference between a predetermined reference value and an initial measured value of the measurement signal of the raindrop sensor. A determining arrangement determines the quantity of raindrops on the windshield based on the amount of change, which is computed by the change computing arrangement, and the difference, which is computed by the difference computing arrangement.
