A resin composition comprising (a) a polyphenylene ether resin, (b) a non-crystalline or low-crystalline polyamide resin, (c) a crystalline polyamide resin and, if desired, (d) a polar compound or a low-molecular diene polymer or the component (d) and (e) a rubbery polymer or an alkenyl aromatic compound/conjugated diene copolymer or a hydrogeneration product thereof. The composition is excellent in both impact strength, particularly on a plane part of a plate-molded article, and dimensional stability.

A thermoplastic resin composition having a good balance between stiffness and impact resistance, a small degree of sagging of sheet during heating step in thermoforming and excellent deep drawing characteristics is disclosed. The composition comprises an olefin polymer composition, a styrene polymer, a thermoplastic styrene block copolymer rubber and an inorganic filler.

A propylene polymer laminated sheet is described, comprising at least two layers wherein at least one surface layer is Layer A comprising 95% by weight or more of a specific crystalline propylene polymer and up to 5% by weight of an inorganic or organic nucleating agent, the thickness of Layer A being from 0.5 to 45% of the total thickness of the sheet, and at least one other layer is Layer B comprising from 40 to 95 parts by weight of a resin component and from 60 to 5 parts by weight of an inorganic filler, the resin component comprising from 5 to 85% by weight of a specific crystalline propylene polymer and from 95 to 15% by weight of an ethylene polymer, the thickness of Layer B being from 55 to 99.5% of the total thickness of the sheet. This sheet has excellent deep drawing properties and can produce a product having excellent surface gloss, appearance and impact resistance.

A composite heat-insulating material and a process for the production thereof are described. This material is of the structure that an olefin- or styrene-based resin sheet and a urethane foam material are laminated on each other with an adhesive containing: (A) 20 to 100% by weight of a water-soluble polyimine compound selected from the group consisting of polyethyleneimine, poly(ethyleneimine-urea), and a polyaminepolyamide/ethyleneimine adduct, and (B) 80 to 0% by weight of a nitrogen atom-containing cationic or amphoteric polymer. This composite heat-insulating material is very suitable for use as a lining material for a refrigerator, for example.

Composite heat-insulating material and process for the production thereof

A new propylene copolymer comprises a propylene homopolymer block and a terpolymeric random copolymer block of propylene, ethylene, and hexene-1 and is further characterized in that: (a) the proportion therein of the propylene homopolymer block is 97 to 80 percent by weight; (b) the terpolymeric random copolymer block has been so copolymerized that the contents therein of the propylene, ethylene, and hexene-1 based on their respective monomers are 80 to 98 percent, 5 to 1 percent, and 15 to 1 percent, respectively, all percentages being by weight; and (c) the intrinsic viscosity thereof in a decalin solution at 135.degree. C. is 0.3 to 15 dl/g.
