Diagnosis device, diagnosis system, diagnosis method, and computer-readable medium

The gas engine of the present invention has a pilot oil fuel valve, a pilot oil pump, and first and second pipes connected to a pilot oil main pipe, for each of a plurality of combustion chambers. An operating pilot oil tank and an ignition stimulant-added pilot oil tank are connected via a switching valve to a third pipe, connected to an end of the pilot oil main pipe. Before operating stops, the pilot oil is discharged by opening an exhaust valve, and thereafter, the switching valve is switched and pilot oil which the ignition stimulant has been added to is supplied into the pipe. Consequently, the pilot oil downstream from the main pipe is replaced with the pilot oil which the ignition stimulant has been added to. Therefore, at the time of the next activation, pilot oil which the ignition stimulant has been added to is sprayed from the fuel valve, and, as a result, misfire at the time of activation is reduced, and a highly reliable engine is obtained.

Pilot oil ignition gas engine and method of operating pilot oil ignition gas engine

In the present invention, there is provided a cylinder head in which seat rings, against which are placed intake valves, are mounted respectively on a plurality of intake ports that communicate with a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, and, among the plurality of intake ports, an intake port on which is mounted an eccentric seat ring, with a center of an inner diameter of this eccentric seat ring being eccentric relative to a center of an outer diameter of this eccentric seat ring, is present together with an intake port on which is mounted a standard seat ring, with a center of an inner diameter of this standard seat ring matching a center of an outer diameter of this standard seat ring. As a result, a flow coefficient can be secured using the intake port on which the standard seat ring is mounted, and the swirl flow can be strengthened using the intake port on which the eccentric seat ring is mounted. Consequently, it is possible to obtain the two conflicting elements of a secure flow coefficient and a strengthened swirl flow.

Cylinder head

The present invention has been realized in order to keep the cylinder exhaust temperature of a gas engine within a predetermined range, and thereby prevent the generation of misfire and knocking. In the present invention, in S, when the number of rotations of the engine is greater than a predetermined number, in S, the exhaust temperatures of the cylinders are sampled at predetermined intervals, in S, an average of the exhaust temperatures is calculated, in S, the load factor at that point is determined, in S, the average exhaust temperature Tis compared with the exhaust temperature T() of each cylinder, and it is determined whether the deviation &#x394;Tis greater or smaller than the set deviation Tfor that load factor. When the deviation &#x394;Tis smaller, the exhaust temperature is within the set deviation and there is no need to adjust the fuel spray period, and therefore the sequence returns to S. When the deviation &#x394;Tis greater, in S, it is determined whether to increase or reduce the opening period of the electronic fuel spray valve. When increasing the opening period, the sequence shifts to S, and when reducing the opening period, the sequence shifts to S. Then, in S, if the engine exceeds the predetermined number of rotations, the processes of Sto Sare repeated; in S, if the engine is below the predetermined number of rotations, the control operation ceases.

Engine, engine exhaust temperature controlling apparatus, and controlling method

The object of the present invention is to enable the reliable compression ignition from starting of a pilot oil ignition gas engine in whose cylinder head there is provided a precombustion chamber unit with pilot injection valve that has liquid fuel injection valves and a precombustion chamber by using the injection of pilot oil from the liquid fuel injection valves, and to thereby allow the engine to be started smoothly. The position of a fuel rack (fuel control rod) that controls the discharge quantity of fuel injection pumps that feed pilot oil to the liquid fuel injection valves is controlled by a control apparatus via a rack control actuator (a position control actuator). In addition, the control apparatus counts the engine speed from pulses generated by a speed sensor and, in a region where the engine speed is low, sets the discharge quantity of the fuel injection pumps to a large quantity. As a result, pilot oil is reliably injected from the liquid fuel injection valves, and gaseous fuel is reliably ignited and burned.

Starting system for pilot-ignition gas engine

The present invention aims to allow an arbitrary selection to be made between gas operation and diesel operation, to achieve a reduction in NOx even when in diesel operation, to allow the compression ratio to be adjusted and altered in accordance with the operating state when in gas operation, to allow quick starting, and to perform operations at a high combustion efficiency over the entire load range. The dual fuel engine of the present invention is provided with a precombustion chamber unit, which is located in the cylinder head of the dual fuel engine, having a precombustion chamber and an electromagnetic fuel injection valve (a liquid fuel injection valve) and also with a compression ratio control valve. The compression ratio control valve opens and closes an air passage that connects the main combustion chamber with an intake port. In gas operation, the valve opening time of the compression ratio control valve is adjusted in accordance with the operating state, and the compression is adjusted by allowing a portion of the air gas mixture inside the main combustion chamber to escape to the intake port. Fuel gas is ignited by a pilot quantity of liquid fuel from the electromagnetic fuel injection valve and is then combusted. In diesel operation, the compression ratio control valve is closed and liquid fuel injected at a high compression ratio from the electromagnetic fuel injection valve is combusted by a precombustion method.

Dual fuel engine

The present invention relates to a combined engine which receives a drive output by means of supplying and combusting at least one fuel selected from among a gas fuel and a liquid fuel. The engine according to the present invention comprises: a main combustion chamber (,) which comprises a piston (,), a cylinder (,) and a cylinder head (,); a precombustion chamber (,) equipped with a spark plug, which serves as an ignition source for a fuel-air mixture comprising air and gas fuel within the main combustion chamber; and a liquid fuel injection valve (,) for injecting liquid fuel into the main combustion chamber; wherein, the precombustion chamber and liquid fuel injection valve are provided in the cylinder head.

Combined engine and method for operating the same

The present invention relates to a lean combustion gas engine which receives a drive output by means of supplying and combusting gas fuel in a main combustion chamber. The lean combustion engine of the present invention comprises: a main combustion chamber (,) which is surrounded by a piston (,), a cylinder (,) and a cylinder head (,); a precombustion chamber (,) equipped with a pilot fuel injection valve; and a spark plug (,) which serves as an ignition source for the fuel-air mixture within the main combustion chamber; wherein, the spark plug and pilot fuel injection valve-equipped precombustion chamber are provided in said cylinder head.
