The present invention provides a camera in which a flash emission section is aligned with a self-timer light-emitting indicator section and the amount of slide of a slide door is minimized. The camera includes; a housing with an opening for an image-taking optical system and a first opening through which both the flash emission section and the self-timer light-emitting indicator section appear; and a slide door with a second opening having a cover partially attached thereto. The opening for the image-taking optical system, the first and second openings and the amount of slide of the slide door are arranged such that, when the slide door is closed, part of the first opening overlaps with part of the second opening and the overlapped part of the first opening is shielded by the cover provided in the second opening.

Camera

A customer of an eating house orders refreshments by pressing a first touch panel provided at a customer's seat, watching a liquid-crystal monitor on which a menu of the refreshment and an average cooking time thereof are displayed. A cook inputs cooking-state information with a second touch panel provided in a kitchen when cooking is started and is completed. The cooking-state information is displayed on the liquid-crystal monitor so that it is possible to confirm a cooking state of the ordered refreshment. When the ordered refreshment is untouched, the customer can cancel or urge the refreshment by pressing the first touch panel. Upon instructing a check with the first touch panel, the check is printed out from a printer. The customer can order, cancel and urge the refreshments without calling a waitperson.

Information administering system for an eating house

A layer of thermal insulator is disposed on at least one of an electrically insulating substrate, an adhesive layer and a heat dissipating plate downstream to heating elements on the substrate in a supply direction of a color thermal recording sheet when executing thermal recording. In a manner that the thermal insulator is provided, when executing thermal recording on color thermal recording sheet, heat generated at heating elements is dissipated outside neither from the distal end of the insulating substrate downstream in a supply direction of the insulating substrate nor from the heat dissipating plate through adhesive layer. Since reduction in temperature is suppressed downstream in a supply direction, condensation of steam or vapor is prevented on the protective layer located at topmost of the thermal head, so that printing failure can be avoided.

Thermal head

In a thermal head, a partial glaze layer is formed on an alumina basal plate, and on that laminated are a heating body, an electrode and a protective layer. A photocatalytic layer composed of titanium oxide is provided on the protective layer. Stains of organic substances, adhered to the photocatalytic layer because of a transparent protective layer of a color thermal recording sheet softened in thermography, is photolized by ultraviolet ray from a magenta-fixing lamp, which loses a coloring capacity of a magenta thermal coloring layer.

Thermal head, cleaning method thereof and color thermal printer

A color thermal printer a conveyor for conveying a color thermosensitive recording sheet along a conveying path. A thermal head thermally records a full-color image to the recording sheet being conveyed. A fixer lamp applies ultraviolet rays of a predetermined range of wavelength to the recording sheet being conveyed, for optically fixing the recording sheet. In the thermal printer, a printer casing has a small height, and includes a front panel oriented vertically. An insertion opening in the front panel is adapted to insertion of the recording sheet before the recording, and ejection of the recording sheet after the recording. An air inlet and an air outlet are formed in the front panel. The insertion opening is disposed between the air inlet and the air outlet. An air passageway is disposed in the printer casing, and communicates from the air inlet to the air outlet via at least a portion of the conveying path. A fan unit is disposed in the air passageway, and causes air from the air inlet to flow along the air passageway, to cause heat generated in the printer casing to exit from the air outlet.

Thermal printer, thermal printing method and conveyor for recording material

A color thermosensitive recording sheet extends two-dimensionally in main and sub scan directions perpendicular to each other. In a thermal printer for use with the recording sheet, two cutters remove front and rear margins from the recording sheet by cutting the recording sheet along lines extending in the main scan direction. Two slitters remove first and second side margins from the recording sheet by slitting the recording sheet along lines extending in the sub scan direction. A slitter shifter shifts the slitters in the main scan direction between a slitting position and home position. The slitters are set at the side margins when in the slitting position, and away from the recording sheet when in the home position. An externally operable mode selector selectively sets a marginless mode and margin mode. A controller causes the slitter shifter to shift the slitters to the slitting position when the marginless mode is set, and actuates the cutters and slitters. The controller causes the slitter shifter to shift the slitters to the home position when the margin mode is set, and disables the cutters and slitters.

Printer capable of cutting margins

A guide member is disposed between a thermal head and a conveyor roller pair. The guide member projects into a conveyance passage of a recording paper when a platen roller is separated from the thermal head. In this state, the guide member abuts on the recording paper having been forwarded by the conveyor roller pair. Further, the guide member guides the recording paper to feed it between the platen roller and the thermal head. When the platen roller is pressed against the thermal head, the guide member is pushed by support plates of the platen roller. The pushed guide member is lowered so that the guide member is evacuated from the conveyance passage of the recording paper.

Thermal printer

In a one-pass multi-head type color thermal printer, a color recording material is transported by a plurality of feed roller pairs, each of which consists of a capstan roller and a pinch roller and is disposed behind one of a plurality of thermal heads. The pinch roller is movable relative to the capstan roller to nip the recording material, and the capstan roller is driven each individually to transport the recording material at an appropriate speed through each of the thermal heads. A platen roller is disposed in opposition to each of the thermal head so as to be movable to and from the opposed thermal head, whereas the thermal heads are mounted stationary.
