A straddled vehicle, including a cross member connecting right and left seat frames, a seat above the cross member and right and left seat frames, left and right side covers, a rear fender, an intake passage formed below the seat, between the left and right side covers and above the rear fender, an air cleaner located in a front part of the intake passage, left and right inlet ports located in a rear part of the intake passage, first and second fastening portions respectively fastening the right and left side cover to the right and left seat frames or to the rear fender. In a rear view of the vehicle, the cross member is convex upward and does not overlap the right or left inlet port, and the first and second fastening portions are located outside the intake passage, or are located inside the intake passage but does not overlap the right or left inlet port.

Straddled vehicle

A power generator unit incorporates an engine and a generator driven by the engine. The generator incorporates a multi piece sound insulation cover that allows for efficient cooling of the various internal components. A plurality of cooling paths are created within the cover and air is drawn into and through the cover by two separate fans. An engine cooling fan draws in cooling air through a generally dedicated cooling air vent(s) to cool an electronic control(unit, an engine cylinder, and a muffler. A generator cooling fan draws in cooling air through an additional cooling air vent(s) to cool an engine crankcase and the generator. The insulation cover provides quiet operation and efficient cooling of the power generator.

Power generator unit

A portable power generator unit incorporates an engine and a generator driven by the engine. The generator incorporates a multi piece sound insulation cover that allows for efficient cooling of the various internal components. Various access openings located in the multi piece sound insulation cover allow for easy servicing of the power generator. An access-opening lid acts as a tool to help service the internal combustion engine when draining and adding lubricant.
