The processes include processing line setting processing of setting, for each of the plurality of pattern pieces, a processing line including the offset line and surrounding a pattern piece and processing line processing of generating processing line processing data, for each of the plurality of pattern pieces, for processing a sheet-shaped workpiece along the processing line, using a processing device configured to perform processing on the workpiece.

A memory of a sewing machine stores a plurality of notification conditions for notifying an information processing device of an extent of progress of sewing of the embroidery pattern. The notification conditions include a first notification condition for notifying that the extent of progress is a first extent and a second notification condition for notifying that the extent of progress is a second extent. The sewing machine transmits, to the information processing device, first extent information indicating the first extent, when the sewing machine determines that the first notification condition is satisfied. The sewing machine transmits, to the information processing device, the second extent information indicating the second extent, when the sewing machine determines that the second notification condition is satisfied.

The sewing system includes a device and a sewing machine including a movement mechanism to move an embroidery frame. The device identifies reference point coordinates representing a position of a reference point provided in a range prescribed by an inner frame of the embroidery frame and transmits the reference point coordinates to the sewing machine. The sewing machine notifies a notification position, using a notification portion, with respect to the range prescribed by the inner frame and acquires a relative movement amount of the embroidery frame with respect to the notification portion, for aligning the notification position and the reference point provided in the range prescribed by the inner frame. The sewing machine decides, on the basis of a relationship between the movement amount and the reference point coordinates, a deviation from a prescribed state of a positional relationship between the inner frame and the movement mechanism.

A software activation system includes a sewing machine and at least one server connected via a network. The sewing machine acquires an authentication code corresponding to an activation target software that is at least one of a program and data not activated on the sewing machine, and transmits, to an authentication server included in the at least one server, an authentication request including the acquired authentication code. The server acquires an authentication key on the basis of the authentication request, when the authentication request is received by the first receiver; and transmits the acquired authentication key to the sewing machine. The sewing machine also receives the authentication key from the authentication server, determines whether the received authentication key satisfies a predetermined authentication condition, and activates the activation target software on the sewing machine when it is determined that the authentication key satisfies the predetermined condition.

The sewing position is a position of the pattern sewn on the sewing object by the sewing portion. The arrangement position is a position of a decorative component arranged on the sewing object. The processes include displaying, on the basis of the acquired reference data, a mark that indicates the arrangement position corresponding to the sewing position.

The control device further causes the generating device to generate an integrated outline obtained by integrating the outline of first and second subpatterns contained in the extracted outlines, to specify the outline of the first subpattern on a first layer, to generate cut data for cutting the outline of the first subpattern from a first sheet associated with the first layer and for cutting the integrated outline from a second sheet associated with the second layer, and to output the generated cut data via the communication unit to the cutting apparatus.
