An image forming apparatus includes: a document feed section; a document reading section; a discharged document sensor detecting the discharged document already read by the document reading section; an image storage section storing a document image obtained through the reading by the document reading section; an image formation section performing an image formation operation in which a toner image of the document image is formed on paper; a fixing section performing fixing processing of heating and pressurizing the paper on which the image has been formed to fix the toner image on the paper; and a control section, upon judgment, with reference to a signal of the discharged document sensor before image formation of a predefined number of pages of document images stored in the image storage section, that the discharged document exists, stopping the image formation of the predefined number of pages of document images.

An operation device includes a screen display section that displays a login screen on a touch panel, a key position changing section, a key information reception section, and a key information determination section. The key position changing section changes positions of a plurality of keys that are displayed on the login screen such that the keys are displayed for a current login process at positions that are different from previous positions at which the keys were displayed for a previous login process. The key information reception section generates input information representing a key pressed on the login screen. The key information determination section allows login of a user when a combination of pieces of input information corresponding to a plurality of key presses performed by the user matches registration information and does not allow login of the user when the combination does not match registration information.

An information processing apparatus has: a data communication portion for communicating with a first image forming apparatus holding an authentic prime key within the same local network, and a second image forming apparatus within the same local network; a storage portion for storing a key generation program for issuing an activation key based on the prime key; and a control portion for acquiring the prime key from the first image forming apparatus on receiving an activation request from the second image forming apparatus, generating the activation key for use on the second image forming apparatus, and transmitting the activation key to the second image forming apparatus.

An image forming apparatus includes a storage unit for storing a primary key issued by an activation key issuing system and storing a key issuing program, a reception unit for receiving an instruction to issue an activation key that can be used in another image forming apparatus in a local network, a control unit configured to generate the activation key that can be used in the another image forming apparatus on the basis of the primary key and the key issuing program, and a printing unit configured to print generated key information to be input to the another image forming apparatus when using the activation key generated by the control unit in the another image forming apparatus on a sheet to output the sheet.
