A method for manufacturing a battery assembly provided by the present invention includes a step of measuring a stacking direction length of a stacked body including a predetermined number of unit cells () constituting a battery assembly () and arranged in the stacking direction; and a step of bundling a body () to be bundled that includes the stacked body. Here, the body to be bundled is provided with length adjusting means () for converging a spread in stacking direction length. The bundling step is implemented by setting the length adjusting means according to the stacking direction length of the stacked body, so that a length of the battery assembly in the stacking direction is a stipulated length (LT) and a bundling pressure of the body to be bundled is a stipulated pressure.

Battery assembly manufacturing method

An assembled battery () according to the present invention is constructed by connecting a plurality of chargeable and dischargeable cells () in series, this assembled battery () including a plurality of cells (), each cell () including a flat-shaped electrode body () which has a positive electrode and a negative electrode and a container () which houses the electrode body () and an electrolyte, wherein the plurality of cells () are constrained in a state where the cells () are aligned so that flat surfaces of the electrode bodies () oppose each other and a load is applied to the cells () in an array direction, and a spring constant of the electrode body () in the array direction in each of the constrained cells () is 10,000 kgf/mm or less.

Secondary battery and assembled battery

A sealed battery () is provided with a current interrupting mechanism () that interrupts current that flows through an electrode body () when an internal pressure (F) of a battery case () exceeds an operating pressure (G). The current interrupting mechanism includes a movable member () that includes a moving portion (A) that moves with a rise in the internal pressure, and a conductive member () that is electrically connected to the electrode body. The conductive member () includes a protruding portion (A) that protrudes toward the moving portion. A weld (PT) created by welding using an energy beam is interposed between the protruding portion and the moving portion. The conductive member has, around the protruding portion, an annular groove (BG) that fractures in an annular shape surrounding the weld when the internal pressure exceeds the operating pressure. The protruding portion elastically pushes against the moving portion via the weld.

Sealed battery and manufacturing method of sealed battery

A battery containerincludes a case member, one side of the case memberbeing opened, and a closing memberfor closing the opening. Further, a material-shortage sectionis formed near a welding section, the case memberand the closing memberbeing brought into contact with each other and welded in the welding sectionby irradiating the welding sectionwith a welding beam. Further, the case memberis welded with the closing memberso that the welding sectionreaches the material-shortage section. Note that a width of the material-shortage sectionin a welding beam irradiation direction may be equal to or greater than one third of a fusion depth of the welding section

Battery container and its manufacturing method

This cell comprises an electrode unit, a cell case in which the electrode unit is housed, and an insulated outer covering located between the electrode unit and the cell case. The electrode unit is housed, from an opening formed at an upper end of the cell case, in the cell case in a lateral direction in which a positive electrode collection component and a negative electrode collection component are disposed along from the upper end to the bottom at both ends of a wide face of the cell case, and is disposed inside the outer covering, to constitute an electrode insertion unit along with the outer covering. Here, the thickness (Lla) of the electrode insertion unit at both ends in the lateral direction steadily decreases from the upper end toward the bottom of the cell case.

Prismatic cell

A battery () provided by the invention includes an electrode assembly () having a current collector forming a positive electrode and a current collector forming a negative electrode; and a flat terminal () joined to each current collector. The flat terminal () has a flat portion () including a joint area () joined to the corresponding the current collector, and the flat terminal has a first curved portion () that is formed away from the joint area along the longitudinal direction () of the flat terminal.

Battery having flat terminals

A battery () includes an electrode body () having a positive electrode and a negative electrode and also includes an exterior case () formed in a box-like shape having an inner space corresponding to the electrode body (). An insulation film () is provided between the electrode body () and the exterior case () to isolate them from each other. The insulation film () has a bag-like shape surrounding the electrode body () and is placed so as not to come into contact with corners () of the inner space.

A battery () includes a flat wound electrode body () that is obtained by winding a first electrode sheet () and a second electrode sheet () in a flat shape via separator sheets (). The first electrode sheet () is disposed in the flat wound electrode body () so as to be wound on the outer peripheral side with respect to the second electrode sheet (). The first electrode sheet () is wound so as to enfold a winding end portion () of the second electrode sheet (). A winding end portion () of the first electrode sheet () is disposed so as to pass either of the straight portions () or rounded portions () where the winding end portion () of the second electrode sheet () is disposed and reach the next straight portion () or pass through the next straight portion.
