A management system manages an environment of a predetermined area. In the predetermined area, there are a recognition sensor configured to recognize a surrounding situation and a recognition target to be recognized by the recognition sensor present at a specific position. Three-dimensional map data of the predetermined area include specific space information indicating a specific space that is a space between the specific position and the recognition target. Recognition result information indicates a result of recognition by the recognition sensor present at the specific position. The management system determines whether an object not included in the specific space in the three-dimensional map data is included in the specific space in the recognition result information. The management system detects, as a removal target, the object not included in the specific space in the three-dimensional map data but is included in the specific space in the recognition result information.

Management system, map generation system, and non-transitory computer-readable recording medium

A battery cooler comprises a refrigerant filling chamber, a refrigerant inflow passage, and a refrigerant outflow passage. The refrigerant filling chamber is sandwiched between opposed battery unit cells and is arranged at a position for receiving heat of the unit cells. The refrigerant inflow passage is connected to a lower portion of the refrigerant filling chamber. The refrigerant outflow passage is connected to an upper portion of the refrigerant filling chamber. The refrigerant filling chamber has at least one joint part joining partially and mutually opposed wall surfaces so as to suppress expansion and deformation of these surfaces caused by the pressure of the refrigerant. An outflow side wall surface rises from a bottom surface of the refrigerant filling chamber toward a connection part of the refrigerant outflow passage. The outflow side wall surface is provided with an inclined surface directed downward from a horizontal direction.

Battery cooler

Provided is a battery that includes a battery module having a battery cell, and a cooler including an inlet part through which refrigerant flows in from outside, and an outlet part through which the refrigerant flows out, and configured to cool the battery module as the refrigerant circulates inside the cooler. The cooler includes an inlet side flow passage that communicates with the inlet part and is provided at a position overlapping a heating region, and an outlet side flow passage that communicates with the inlet side flow passage and the outlet part, and is provided at a position overlapping a non-heating region.

Battery and vehicle

A thermal management system to cool one or more battery packs of a battery system may include a heat pipe arrangement that includes a plurality of heat pipes, having a planar configuration, in thermal contact with the one or more battery packs to draw heat therefrom, and a heat sink arrangement that includes a plurality of heat sinks, in thermal contact with two or more edges of the heat pipe arrangement, to dissipate heat away from the heat pipe arrangement.

Battery thermal management with large area planar heat pipes

A ventilation apparatus of an internal combustion engine of the invention ventilates a chain chamber by recirculating blow-by gas to an intake passage through a blow-by gas recirculation pipe and introducing air into the chain chamber through an air introduction pipe. The air introduction pipe is secured to a head cover wall portion which corresponds to a portion of a head cover wall which defines the chain chamber.

A supercharged internal combustion engine according to the present invention includes a compressorthat supercharges intake air; an EGR passagethat connects an intake passageat the upstream side of the compressorand an exhaust passage; an EGR valvethat is provided in the EGR passageand regulates the flow rate of EGR gas that flows through the EGR passageby opening and closing the EGR passage; and a heat insulatorthat is provided on a surface of the EGR valvethat is exposed to the EGR passagewhich is located at the upstream side in the EGR gas flow with respect to a seal portion by a seal surfaceand a valve seatwhen the EGR valveis in the fully closed position.

Supercharged internal combustion engine

A cooling device for an internal combustion engine includes a HT cooling system, a LT cooling system, and an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to, if a HT temperature has reached a HT determination value, control an operation state of the HT cooling system to start cooling for maintaining the HT temperature at a HT target temperature. The electronic control unit is configured to, if a LT temperature being a temperature of a LT cooling medium has reached a LT determination value, start a LT cooling control for maintaining the LT temperature at a LT target temperature under a specific condition where an early warm-up of the internal combustion engine is not required. The electronic control unit is configured to start the LT cooling control if the HT temperature has reached the HT determination value under a condition where the early warm-up is required.

Cooling device for internal combustion engine

Side surfaces of an end cam cap and a pair of side surfaces of a recess for cam cap form two cross-sectional area gradually changing gaps therebetween. A gasket is filled between an inner surface of the recess for cam cap and an outer surface of the end cam cap. The inner surface includes the side surfaces of the recess for cam cap and the outer surface includes the side surfaces of the end cam cap.

Internal combustion engine

An HT cooling system cools at least a cylinder block with HT cooling water. An LT cooling system cools an intake port with LT cooling water that is at a lower temperature than the HT cooling water. A controller performs an ignition retard control that involves correcting the ignition timing based on the result of detection of a knock by a knock sensor, and a cooling enhancement control that involves enhancing cooling by the LT cooling system in the case where a knock is detected compared with the case where no knock is detected. The way of cooling by the HT cooling system is unchanged whether a knock is detected.

High temperature (HT) and low temperature (LT) cooling water, the LT cooling water being at a lower temperature than the HT cooling water, circulate in HT and LT cooling water flows in respective channels. A controller controls to set the temperature of the LT cooling water lower in a case where an operating point of an engine lies in a particular region in an operational region of the engine, the particular region including a region in which the load is high and the engine speed is low, than in a case where the operating point lies in an operational region other than the particular region. Furthermore, the controller narrows the particular region in a direction toward higher loads in a case where the temperature of the HT cooling water is lower than a predetermined temperature.

Two partitioning members having a larger thermal expansion coefficient as compared to that of a cylinder block, and separating the ringed coolant water passageinto first passageand second passageis provided. An inlet which communicates with the first passage and an outlet which communicates with the second passage are provided. An electrically driven vehicle equipped with a battery usable for running in which a power generation unit of engine driven type that charges the battery is detachably mounted on a vehicle body, includes including a first connection part that brings a high-voltage system in which the battery and the power generation unit are electrically connected together into a connected state in a state in which the power generation unit is mounted in a mounting position and brings the high-voltage system into a disconnected state in a state in which the power generation unit is dismounted from the mounting position, whereby the first connection part switches a connection state of the high-voltage system in accordance with installation or removal of the power generation unit. The first connection part includes a connector on the vehicle side and a connector on the power generation unit side.

In an electrically driven vehicle equipped with a battery usable for running, a power generation unit of engine driven type that charges the battery is detachably mounted on the vehicle including a case where at least an engine of the power generation unit is detachably mounted, and the vehicle includes first stop means for bringing the power generation unit in a stopped state when the power generation unit is installed in or removed from the vehicle, and a generation stop switch for making an operation request to the power generation unit. More specifically, the first stop means stops an operation request signal to the power generation unit through low-voltage system wires when the generation stop switch is ON (no operation request is made).
