The invention is to provide a process capable of producing aluminium magnesium titanate having a small coefficient of thermal expansion at a firing temperature lower than 1500&#xb0; C. The production process of the invention comprises maintaining a pre-mixture containing a titania source powder, an alumina source powder, a magnesia source powder and a silica source powder within a temperature range of from 1100&#xb0; C. to 1350&#xb0; C. for at least 3 hours, followed by heating up to a temperature not lower than 1400&#xb0; C. and firing at the temperature. The silica source powder is preferably a powder of alkali feldspar. Aluminium magnesium titanate is prepared according to the production process of the invention, and the resulting aluminium magnesium titanate is ground to give an aluminium magnesium titanate powder.

Process for producing aluminum magnesium titanate

A one or two layer coating system has been developed for plastic substrates. The one coating system low reflective layer consists of a fluorinated copolymer having the formula: VF2/TFE/HFP, VF2/HFP or VF2/TFE/PMVE. In the two coating system, the upper coating layer consists of TFE/HFP, VF/TFE/HFP, or TFE/Perfluorodioxole, and the lower coating layer consists of VF/TFE/HFP, VF/TFE/HFP, VAc/TFE/HFIB, or TFE graft to PVOH.

Fluoropolymer low reflecting layers for plastic lenses and devices

A composition having water-repellency at high temperature is provided. Some of the invention compositions also exhibits oil-repellency at high temperature. The composition comprises a fluorocarbon silane or hydrolyzate thereof; a surfactant; a polymerizable, silicon-containing compound; and a catalyst.

Emulsion and water-repellent composition

A substantially aqueous emulsion and a coated product made with the emulsion are disclosed. The emulsion comprises, or is produced by combining, at least one fluorocarbon silane, a hydrolyzed product of the fluorocarbon silane, or combinations thereof; a silicon-containing compound; and a surfactant. The coated product can comprise a substrate, an undercoat layer, and an emulsion layer.
