A primary application cloud instance may receive historical usage of an application, may allocate, based on the historical usage, a quantity of cloud resources for enabling the application to be accessed, and may enable the application to be accessed. The primary application cloud instance may provide, to a backup application cloud instance that allocates a minimum quantity of cloud resources for providing a skeletal version of the application, heartbeat and session state information associated with the primary application cloud instance, and the quantity of cloud resources for enabling the application to be accessed. The primary application cloud instance may provide, to the backup application cloud instance, an indication of a failure of the primary application cloud instance, via the heartbeat and session state information, to cause the backup application cloud instance to allocate the quantity of cloud resources and to enable access to the application.

Systems and methods for optimizing resources for applications deployed in primary and backup geographically dispersed cloud environments

A device may receive load data identifying loads of network functions provided by a cloud computing environment, resource data associated with resources of the cloud computing environment, and resource distribution data associated with the resources. The device may perform data analytics on the load data, the resource data, and the resource distribution data to identify, from the network functions, a network function being impacted and to determine that the network function requires resource modification. The device may calculate, based on the data analytics and based on determining that the network function requires resource modification, parameters for the resource modification and may perform one or more actions based on the parameters for the resource modification.

Systems and methods for providing fifth-generation network function on demand resource distribution

A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a containerized network function (CNF) management service is provided. The service may provide for allocating discrete sets of CNF resources deployed as pods to provide application services to end devices; identifying at least one threshold resource value associated with a first number of the deployed pods which are activated to provide the application services; determining an anticipated nonsatisfaction of the at least one threshold resource value associated with the first number of the deployed pods; and invoking, for a period of time, horizontal pod autoscaling (HPA) via an application programming interface to activate a second number of the deployed pods to provide the application services, wherein the HPA is performed non-incrementally until at least one of the period of time has elapsed or each of the deployed pods has been activated to provide the application services.

A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which an application management service is provided. The service may provide a coordination between network or platform level application management functions and application level application management functions that enables the management of an application service. The network or platform level application management functions may include autoscaling, load balancing, and ingress resource management. A system may include a machine-to-machine (M2M) gateway. The M2M gateway may receive M2M information associated with an M2M application. The M2M gateway may mark the M2M information to create marked information. The marked information may be created to allow the marked information to be identified as M2M information. The M2M gateway may provide the marked information. The marked information may be provided via a wired common public radio interface (CPRI) connection to a base station to permit the base station to identify the marked information as M2M information and provide the marked information to a management device based on identifying the marked information as M2M information.
