A wireless equipment management system that is configured to track sensors for work measurement for predetermined events. The sensors are configured to measure event durations of a specific piece of equipment as defined by a user and sent to a Network Management Center. This enables the user to measure work times by configuring work events as sensor input events. The event durations can be displayed and reports can be produced at the Network Management Center.

Apparatus and method for measuring operational data for equipment using sensor breach durations

A system for providing operational access to equipment or vehicles is disclosed wherein digital access codes are assigned and transported over-the-air governing a vehicle's or equipment's use. The access codes can be generated in connection with comparison of entered and stored biometric data and/or entered code from a keypad. Various security protocols can be used to ensure the secure dispatch and delivery of code information.

The CANbus includes one or more original parameters associated with sensors that are converted into virtual sensors to provide selective vehicle information to a terminal of the integrated wireless equipment management system.

The method includes determining that the equipment has moved into a selected regional group, and assigning the equipment to the selected regional group. A wireless system is provided which enables a remotely located equipment monitor to control the equipment in the event that more than one alert or alarm for the same fault condition, at the equipment have been ignored by the equipment operator. Control options include instructing the operator to shut equipment down, automatically shutting the equipment down and putting the equipment in a safe mode of operation.
