Disclosed is a multilayer structure useful for preparing highly abrasion-resistant protective liners, including tubular articles such as multilayer tubes or pipes.

Multilayer protective liner

A composite building panel that includes a fabric reinforcing sheet between one of the metal skins and the core of the panel. The fabric reinforcing sheet, which is preferably made from aramid fibers improves the impact resistance and penetration resistance of the building panel without substantially increasing weight and without adding fuel content to the panel system.

The present invention provides a resin composition made from admixing starting materials comprising: (a) 0 to 90 parts by weight of a polyolefin; (b) 5 to 95 parts by weight of a functional polyolefin; (c) 5 to 40 parts by weight of a polystyrenic; and (d) 0 to 30 parts by weight of an elastomer, where the total amount of components of (a), (b), (c) and (d) in the resin composition is 100 parts by weight. In a further embodiment, component (a) is a non-olefin copolymer and component (c) is high impact polystyrene. The resin compositions are useful as adhesives for metal and polyolefin substrates.

This invention provides moisture stable tuftstring carpet assemblies. The pile surface structure comprises a moisture stable backing substrate, a plurality of elongated pile articles each comprising an elongated, moisture stable support strand having bonded thereto a plurality of 'U' shaped bundles of multifilament yarn. The pile articles are bonded to the backing substrate. Different backing substrates and support strands may be used.

This invention relates to a composition to improve the mechanical properties of blends of polyolefins and polyesters and particularly relates to compatibilizers for polyethylene and polyester blends and the method relating to their production. One particular embodiment of the compatibilizers is a polyolefin with a grafted monomer such as Polyethylene grafted with maleic anhydride and a terpolymer of ethylene such as ethylene, n-Butyl Acrylate and glycidyl methacrylate.
