An example apparatus disclosed herein includes at least one processor and memory including instructions that, when executed, cause the at least one processor to at least: determine an orientation of a housing; determine if a housing is in a mounting orientation; in response to determining that the housing is not in the mounting orientation, initiate a first alarm; in response to determining that the housing is in the mounting orientation, determine an orientation of a stencil; determine if the stencil is in an upright orientation; in response to determining that stencil is not in the upright orientation, initiate a second alarm; and in response to at least one of the housing being in the mounting orientation or the stencil being in the upright orientation, assign a light pattern to a plurality of lights associated with the stencil.

Example levitating meter apparatus are disclosed. An example metering system includes a meter having a display to present indicia associated with a panelist. The meter has a microphone to receive audio output from a media device and circuitry to perform media monitoring. A base includes a cavity to receive at least a portion of the meter. The meter to magnetically levitate relative to the base to decouple the meter from the base. The base and the meter structured to fix a rotational position of the meter relative to the base when the at least the portion of the meter is received by the cavity of the base and the meter levitates relative to the base.

Respective ones of the walls are between respective ones of openings such that the openings are isolated from adjacent ones of the openings. A removable stencil includes a plurality of visual indicators, where the visual indicators to align with respective ones of the openings.

Example metering apparatus and related methods are disclosed. An example apparatus disclosed herein includes a stencil and a housing having a display area. The display area has a recessed cavity defining a front surface of the display area. A front surface of the stencil is to be flush mounted relative to the front surface of the display area defined by the recessed cavity when the stencil is positioned in the display area of the housing. A cover is removably coupled to the housing to enable access to the display area.

Example metering apparatus and related methods are disclosed. An example apparatus disclosed herein includes a stencil and a housing having a display area. The display area has a first recessed cavity and a second recessed cavity adjacent the first recessed cavity. The first recessed cavity is offset relative to the second recessed cavity such that the second recessed cavity defines a front surface of the display area and a peripheral lip of a front side of the housing. A cover is removably coupled to the housing to enable access to the display area. The second recessed cavity of the housing is to receive the cover. The cover is received by the second recessed cavity such that an outer surface of the cover is substantially flush mounted relative to a peripheral lip of the housing, and wherein a perimeter of the cover is substantially similar to a perimeter of the peripheral lip.

The stencil being repositionable to orient the indicia to the upright orientation when the housing is moved to the second orientation. The meter apparatus includes a cover removably coupled to the housing to enable access to the stencil in the display area.

Example invertible metering apparatus and related methods are disclosed. An example apparatus disclosed herein includes a housing orientation determiner and a stencil orientation determiner. The example apparatus also includes an orientation validator to determine whether a detected orientation of the stencil relative to a detected orientation of the housing is valid.
