There are provided a method of managing radio connectivity of a vehicle and a system thereof. The method comprises: continuously receiving by vehicle's telematic system a predictive model generated by remote system using data continuously collected from a plurality of vehicles, wherein the collected data comprise, for each given vehicle of the plurality of vehicles, data informative of its location, speed and of Radio Access Technology (RAT)-related measurements; and, responsive to a predefined event, applying, by the telematic system, a lastly received predictive model to current values of a predefined set of inputs associated with the vehicle to obtain instructions and respectively provide corrective actions related to radio connectivity of the vehicle. The corrective actions include modifying RRC measurement report(s) so as to force the cellular network to provide one of: intra-RAT handover, inter-RAT handover; excluding available connectivity with undesired RAT or band; and terminating the radio connectivity with further RAT re-selecting.

Method and system of managing radio connectivity of a vehicle

There are provided a system and a method of controlling traffic in a cellular network comprising a plurality of controlled access points (APs) configured to serve passengers in one or more trains moving in accordance with a train schedule. The method comprises: prior to a scheduled event associated with an expected substantive increase of passengers to be served by an AP, obtaining expected classification results indicative of an expected, during the scheduled event, load of the AP with respect to a downlink and/or uplink load thresholds; and at a scheduled time enabling providing pre-configured provisioning actions in accordance with the expected classification results. The method can further comprise collecting data informative of moving, responsive to moving the one or more trains in accordance with the train schedule, load between APs; and processing the collected data to obtain data informative of the expected load of the AP during the scheduled event.

Method of controlling traffic in a cellular network and system thereof

There are provided a method of controlling traffic in a cellular network comprising a plurality of controlled access points (APs) and a system thereof. The method comprises: continuously obtaining data informative of resource utilization with regard to APs of the plurality of controlled APs; processing the obtained data to continuously classify, for a given AP, downlink load with respect to a downlink load threshold and uplink load with respect to an uplink load threshold, thereby giving rise to downlink and uplink classification results, wherein uplink load classification is provided independently of downlink load classification; and enabling provisioning of the given AP in accordance with respective classification results, wherein: provisioning in accordance with downlink classification results comprises changing cell reselection parameters and/or changing cell footprint parameters; provisioning in accordance with uplink classification comprises changing cell selection parameters; and provisioning in accordance with uplink classification is enabled independently of provisioning in accordance with downlink classification.

There is provided a computer-implemented method for selecting an electrical tilt angle for at least one cellular antenna comprising: receiving at least one parameter indicative of mobile client resource use associated with at least one cellular antenna, the at least one cellular antenna being part of a plurality of antennas arranged in at least one cluster as part of a cellular network; and iteratively adjusting an electrical tilt angle of the at least one antenna so that the at least one parameter indicative of client resource use is maintained within at least one predefined threshold, thereby providing users of the mobile clients of the at least one cellular antenna with at least a level of service within the at least one predefined threshold.
