The disclosure provides a GNSS receiver. The GNSS receiver a measurement engine that generates a set of doppler measurements and a set of pseudo ranges in response to an input signal. A clock frequency drift estimation (CFDE) block receives the set of doppler measurements, and generates an averaged delta doppler. A position estimation engine estimates a position and velocity of a user based on the set of doppler measurements, the set of pseudo ranges and the averaged delta doppler.

One example includes a receiver system. The receiver system includes an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) configured to convert an analog input signal into a digital output signal at a sampling frequency. The receiver system also includes a spur correction system configured to receive the digital output signal and to estimate spurs associated with the digital output signal and to selectively correct a subset of the spurs associated with a set of frequencies that are based on the sampling frequency.

An IQ mismatch estimation circuit includes a raw channel estimation circuit, a reference channel estimation circuit, a digital predistortion (DPD) bin identification circuit, a channel estimate pruning circuit, and an IQ correction coefficient generation circuit. The raw channel estimation circuit generates raw channel estimates for a plurality of frequency bins of a baseband signal. The reference channel estimation circuit identifies a reference channel estimate based on the raw channel estimates. The DPD bin identification circuit identifies, based on the reference channel estimate, the frequency bins for which the raw channel estimates are based on a DPD expansion signal. The channel estimate pruning circuit generates pruned raw channel estimates by discarding the raw channel estimates of the frequency bins identified by the DPD bin identification circuit. The IQ correction coefficient generation circuit generates IQ mismatch correction coefficients based on the pruned raw channel estimates.

Multi-Nyquist differentiator circuits and a radio frequency sampling receiver that applies a multi-Nyquist differentiator circuit. A multi-Nyquist differentiator includes a fixed coefficient filter, a scaling circuit, and a summation circuit. The fixed coefficient filter is configured to filter digital samples generated by an ADC. The scaling circuit is coupled to an output of the fixed coefficient filter, and is configured to scale output of the fixed coefficient filter based on a selected Nyquist band. The summation circuit is coupled to the scaling circuit, and is configured to generate a derivative of the digital samples based on output of the scaling circuit.

Analog-to-digital converter non-linearity correction using multi-nyquist differentiator

An interleaved ADC receives an RX signal attenuated by a DSA based on an active DSA setting, within a range of DSA settings (DSA setting range) corresponding to selectable attenuation steps, the DSA setting range partitioned into a number of DSA setting subranges (DSA subranges). The ADC includes an IL mismatch estimation engine in the digital signal path, with an estimation subrange blanker, and an IL mismatch estimator. The estimation subrange blanker is coupled to receive the IADC data stream, and responsive to a DSA subrange allocation signal to select, in each of successive aggregation cycles, IADC data corresponding to an active DSA setting that is within an allocated DSA subrange (DSA active data within an DSA allocated subrange). The IL mismatch estimator aggregates, during each aggregation cycle, IL mismatch estimation data based on the selected DSA active data within the DSA allocated subrange, generates an estimate of IL mismatch (IL mismatch estimate) based on the aggregated IL mismatch estimation data, generates IL mismatch correction parameters based on the aggregated IL mismatch estimation data, and generates IL mismatch estimate uncertainty data corresponding to an uncertainty in the IL mismatch estimate used to generate the associated IL mismatch correction parameters for the DSA allocated subrange. A DSA statistics collector to collect a distribution of DSA settings over a pre-defined time period (DSA setting distribution statistics). An estimation subrange allocator coupled to receive DSA setting distribution statistics, and the IL mismatch estimate uncertainty data, and to provide to the estimation subrange blanker the DSA subrange allocation signal according to a pre-defined allocation strategy.

A method for frequency domain to time domain conversion includes receiving a set of frequency-domain samples. Based on the set of frequency-domain samples, a first sample subset comprising a predetermined fraction of the number of samples of the set of frequency-domain samples and a second sample subset comprising the predetermined fraction of the number of samples of the set of frequency-domain samples are generated. A linear phase rotation is applied to the first sample subset and the second sample subset to produce a phase rotated first sample subset and a phase rotated second sample subset. The phase rotated first sample set is post-processed to generate a first set of time-domain samples. The phase rotated second sample set is post-processed to generate a second set of time-domain samples. The first set of time-domain samples and the second set of time-domain samples are reordered to produce an output set of time-domain samples.

In accordance with an example, an integrated circuit includes a linear combiner having an input for receiving a signal. The linear combiner also has a plurality of operator circuits for applying weighting factors to the signal, in which a first operator circuit in the plurality of operator circuits performs a first operation on the signal using a first sub-weight of one of the weighting factors to provide a first tile output and a second operator circuit in the plurality of operator circuits performs a second operation on the signal using a second sub-weight of the one of the weighting factors to provide a second tile output. The linear combiner also has an adder having a first input coupled to receive the first tile output and the second tile outputs and providing a combined output.

Methods and apparatus for efficient linear combiner

An integrated circuit chip includes an interleaved analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and an interleaving calibration circuit. The interleaved ADC includes a plurality of ADCs that are each configured to sample an analog signal. The interleaved ADC is configured to convert the analog signal into an interleaved analog-to-digital signal (IADC signal) that includes a plurality of spurious signals formed from mismatches between the plurality of ADCs. The interleaving calibration circuit is configured to receive the IADC signal from the interleaved ADC, generate a mismatch profile estimate corresponding to the plurality of spurious signals to generate one or more mismatch profile estimates, determine whether a first mismatch profile estimate is in a frequency band of interest, and, in response to a determination that the first mismatch profile estimate is in the frequency band of interest, generate a set of model parameters based on the first mismatch profile estimate.

Band specific interleaving mismatch compensation in RF ADCs

Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to increase an integrity of mismatch corrections in an interleaved analog to digital converter are disclosed. An example apparatus includes an instantaneous mismatch estimator that uses an output of an interleaved analog to digital converter to identify a mismatch estimate between two or more component analog to digital converters of the interleaved analog to digital converter. An integrity monitor is to cause the instantaneous mismatch estimator to avoid incorrectly providing the mismatch estimate to a filter, the integrity monitor to instruct the filter to remove the mismatch estimate when the mismatch estimate is detected to be inaccurate.

Methods and apparatus to increase an integrity of mismatch corrections of an interleaved analog to digital converter

A system includes a first tracking filter configured to track a frequency domain mismatch profile between component analog-to-digital convertors (ADCs) of an interleaved ADC (IADC), and a second tracking filter configured to a track a frequency independent timing delay mismatch and a timing delay mismatch correction error based on frequency domain mismatch profile estimates. An output of the first tracking filter determines a correction of a frequency dependent mismatch profile in an output of the interleaved ADC and an output of the second tracking filter determines a correction of the timing delay mismatch correction error in the output of the interleaved ADC.
