A battery unit with a battery housing with a base body having an open design at its two opposite end regions. Two battery housing covers are provided which can each be arranged so that they can be connected at one of the two opposite end regions to the base body in order to close the battery housing. At least two battery chambers are provided in the battery housing for the arrangement of battery cells. The base body has, for partitioning the battery chambers, at least one partition wall which extends from an end region of the base body to the other end region of the base body along its longitudinal extent. At least one of the battery housing covers or both battery housing covers has, on its respective side facing the partition wall, an open socket into which a respective partition wall can be inserted.

Battery unit and motor vehicle with a battery unit

An electrically or partially electrically operated vehicle. The vehicle has a battery system and a structural component, wherein the battery system and the structural component have outer surfaces which are spaced apart from one another. The vehicle has provisions for changing the quality of a thermal coupling between the two outer surfaces, in particular for thermally coupling and decoupling the two outer surfaces.

A motor vehicle traction battery arrangement includes two cooling plates respectively disposed in a horizontal plane and a high-voltage battery module. The lower and upper horizontal walls of which are cooled directly by the cooling plates and which encases a plurality of identical rectangular battery cells in a rigid battery module housing. The battery cells are all configured such that they are plate-like and elongated, are parallel to one another in vertical planes (y,z) and each includes two small-area vertical end walls, two large-area vertical side walls and two medium-area horizontal walls. On its end face, each battery cell includes an anodic connecting element and a cathodic connecting element. At least two similar cell stacks including a same plurality of battery cells are provided, and are stacked such that their battery cell side walls adjoin one another. The battery cell horizontal walls directly adjoin a cooled battery module horizontal wall.

Motor vehicle traction battery arrangement

A battery module for a partially or fully electrically operated vehicle, having a battery housing, which has a main body with at least one open end, and at least one battery cell stack, which has a carrier plate at least at one end. The battery cell stack has been introduced into the main body such that the carrier plate substantially closes off the open end of the main body. On the carrier plate, there is provided an at least sectionally peripheral seal, which projects from the carrier plate and bears at least sectionally against the inner surface of the main body. The seal is of air-permeable form, so that, during the introduction of a fluid of relatively high viscosity into an intermediate space between the battery cell stack and the inner surface of the main body, displaced air can escape from the main body through the seal.

Battery module

A motor vehicle having a shell including a first side facing a roadway and a second side opposite to the first side, and a housing in which at least one electronic component is arranged. The housing is fastened to the shell via a mounting member. The mounting member is releasably fastened to the shell and the housing is releasably fastened to the mounting member such that, in a mounting operation of the housing, the mounting member and the housing are mountable on the shell via the first side of the shell, and the housing is removable via the second side of the shell during a removal operation of the housing.

Motor vehicle and method for mounting a housing on a shell of a motor vehicle

A battery device has at least one battery module including a battery module housing, in which battery module housing battery cells are provided. The battery cells each have a cell envelope with a cell vent. The battery module housing has a battery-module housing wall with battery-module housing vents. The battery-module housing vents are respectively assigned a first closure arrangement, which first closure arrangement closes the assigned battery-module housing vent in a first state (Z1) and opens it in a second state (Z2), in order to allow at least partial venting of gas from the battery module housing through the assigned battery-module housing vent in the second state (Z2) of the first closure arrangement. At least two of the cell vents respectively lie opposite an assigned battery-module housing vent, at least in certain regions.

Battery device

A battery module includes a battery module housing and a battery cell package, which has a plurality of battery cells and is arranged in the battery module housing. The battery cell package is supported on an inner face of the battery module housing at least by way of an outer face. A battery cell monitoring unit is connected to the battery cells via a signal line. A protective plate is arranged on the outer face of the battery cell package that is supported on the inner face of the battery module housing. A recess is provided on the side of the protective plate facing toward or facing away from the battery cell package, in which recess at least one portion of the signal line is arranged.

A motor vehicle body for a motor vehicle includes a battery compartment, a sill, a crossmember arranged in front of the battery compartment in a direction of travel and orthogonally with respect to the sill, and a longitudinal member arranged in front of the crossmember in the direction of travel. A sheet-metal shell is arranged in front of the crossmember between the longitudinal member and an end side of the crossmember.

A battery housing for a battery module of a traction battery of a motor vehicle has (i) a housing for enclosing at least one battery cell of the battery module, (ii) at least one cooling groove which is formed in at least one housing wall of the housing after which is open away from the battery cell and which serves for conducting a cooling fluid, and (iii) a cover which is configured as a planar plate and which is connected to the housing wall and which serves for closing the at least one cooling groove. Owing to the cooling groove formed in the housing wall, the cover can be configured as an inexpensive planar plate, such that cooling of a battery module is made possible with little outlay in terms of production.

Battery housing for battery module of a traction battery of a motor vehicle

A high-voltage battery having a plurality of battery modules, coolant-carrying heat sinks for cooling the battery modules, a coolant supply line for supplying the coolant to the heat sinks via supply connections and discharge connections for discharging the coolant from the heat sinks to a coolant discharge line. In this high-voltage battery, the supply connections and the discharge connections respectively form a coolant distributor. The respective coolant distributor is connected to the heat sinks of the respective battery module.

An electric vehicle has longitudinal sills, arranged on both sides of the electric vehicle, and a traction battery, arranged between the sills, for driving the electric vehicle. The traction battery has a device for degassing the traction battery in the case of a thermal event. A duct for carrying gas during degassing of the traction battery is formed in the electric vehicle between at least one of the longitudinal sills and the traction battery. An electric vehicle of this kind ensures increased occupant protection and increased component protection.

A motor vehicle includes a traction battery module which has a hermetically sealed module housing in which at least one cell stack pair including a left-hand-side and a right-hand-side cell stack including, in each case, at least two battery cells is accommodated. The traction battery module is arranged in the vehicle floor and extends symmetrically in relation to the vehicle center (M) in the vehicle transverse direction (X). The traction battery module has a bottom wall in a horizontal plane. A gas space is formed in the module housing in the vehicle center (M) and between the left-hand-side cell stack and the right-hand-side cell stack with respect to the vehicle transverse direction (X). The module bottom wall has a degassing element centrally in the vehicle in the region of the gas space.

A traction battery module for a vehicle, with a battery housing, the battery housing having a preferably extruded housing part with hollow chambers formed in it, which extend alongside one another along a central longitudinal direction and are open at the ends. The hollow chambers respectively define a cooling channel. At least one cooling connection adapter is provided, having a non-circular outer circumferential surface in an insertion portion and having been introduced or pressed at the end into one of the hollow chambers with an inner circumferential surface corresponding to the outer circumferential surface of the insertion portion. A pressing engagement is formed, at least in certain portions, between the outer circumferential surface and the inner circumferential surface.

Battery module of a high-voltage battery for an electric vehicle

A traction battery module has a housing body having four side walls and two end walls, and a plurality of cell elements which are arranged in the housing body, are arranged parallel to one another and parallel to two of the four side walls and are combined to form a cell element stack. A respective holding frame is positioned at the two end-side longitudinal ends of the cell element stack, on which holding frame the longitudinal ends of the cell elements are held such that the cell element stack is spaced apart in all four transverse directions from the four side walls. Each holding frame has a spring arrangement on its spring side facing a side wall and does not have a spring arrangement on its fixed side opposite the spring side. The holding frame is pressed by the spring arrangement onto the side wall assigned to the fixed side.
