A device for selectively monitoring and reducing a backward displacement of a vehicle seat in the event of an accident, having at least one stop element () which arranged on a pair () of seat rails and has a stop face () which is inclined with respect to a longitudinal axis of the pair () of seat rails, and having at least one stop body () which is arranged on the vehicle seat, having a contact face () which is arranged in a normal position at a distance from the stop face. In order to make available a device which efficiently reduces a backward displacement movement of a motor vehicle seat in a simple way in the event of an accident of the motor vehicle, there is provision that the stop element () and the stop body () are embodied and arranged with respect to one another in the mounted state in such a way that in a crash position which occurs in a tail-end impact with a motor vehicle having the vehicle seat, the stop face () of the stop element () and the contact face () of the stop body () enter into contact and as a result the backward displacement of the vehicle seat which is caused by the accident is reduced.

The seat frame has a left and a right link, a left and a right side part and a transverse tube which connects the two side parts. The links are connected to the transverse tube for conjoint rotation. The transverse tube has a main tube located between the side parts, a left end piece assigned to the left side part and a right end piece assigned to the right side part. The main tube is connected to the two end pieces in respective overlapping regions. The main tube is manufactured from a material, preferably from steel, which has an at least 20% higher tensile strength than the material of the end pieces.

A longitudinal adjustment device for a motor vehicle seat, with a floor rail which can be connected to a motor vehicle floor, a seat rail which can be connected to the motor vehicle seat and is mounted in a longitudinally displaceable manner on the floor rail, and a connecting element having a connecting section for connection of a functional component to the seat rail. The connecting element is connected by a first section to a side wall of the seat rail and by a second section to an upper side of the seat rail. The connecting element has an opening for receiving the functional component and/or a bearing element for the arrangement of the functional component. The opening is arranged in the region of a recess running in the region of a bending line between the side wall and the upper side.

The invention relates to an adjustment device of an automotive vehicle. It comprises a movable adjustment part the position of which is adjustable according to the user's wishes. The adjustment part comprises at least a first piece and a second piece. These pieces are fixedly joined together in a connection region. Each piece comprises a border that is connected to the border of the other piece in the connection region. One piece may be made from a higher quality material and the other piece from a lower quality material. One piece may be made from a thinner material and the other piece from a thicker material.
